You know what I really don’t understand about people who don’t like to show their children’s faces.. why show them full stop? I know someone who won’t even post her daughters name, and always covers her face with an emoji, and I really do get it. There’s SO many weirdos online and you have no idea who’s doing what with the photos of your children. Why not just not post a photo of your child? Leave them off social media till they’re old enough to decide if they want to be on there!!

Imo I think that as a parent, you’re obviously proud of your kids and naturally want to show their achievements, cute outfits, etc. even if no ones else cares Also I guess a sense of feeling “involved” in social media as that’s just how so many people communicate now, I think if you’re young you’re more likely to feel unseen, almost lonely maybe, if you’re not posting online. But equally, you don’t want to completely invade your own kids privacy. So posting them but concealing their identity is like a happy medium I guess.

There are some exceptions though I’d say, including if your socials are for business purposes or to promote things like OF. The audience of those accounts are a different demographic and things as personal as your family don’t need to be there.
