I seriously don’t understand how she thought that engagement was serious. They’d known each other 2 minutes and bought a cheap ring while pissed up. I feel like he thought it was a joke, but she took it so seriously and came on incredibly strong. Can’t she see how much that would put anyone off? I’d have ran for the hills too

Can hardly blame her for “putting him off” when they were literally engaged. Yes it was very quick but if he’s thought it was a joke then that’s pretty bad crack from him. If I was engaged I’d take it serious too.

if a guy id been dating for less than a month proposed to me with a cheap ring while we were smashed on holiday I would not take it seriously and start announcing to everyone online that I was engaged. I’d just assume he was joking personally . Especially if he’s not long since split from his ex wife. I just don’t see how she saw it as a real engagement. But maybe people do move that quick and it works out for them.
