My Dad lived in Brixton for a long time and said the joke there was he just took Jerk sauce and made it milder for English palates. The guy who said the recipe was stolen was his former business partner, and Levi initially said his grandmother passed the recipe down before saying it was a marketing gimmick and he invented it himself.
