Why does nominations take so long?

I think one of the last housemates spoke about it on L&L or something, they said BB sometimes keep them in the diary room for ages asking questions about their noms and reasons, to get the best quotes to air

Oh Louis, I understand you might be happier chatting with older people but being young is not a reason to be nominated.
Otherwise no one’s kern on Zeze, guessing it’s possible she could go instead of Gary, who knew.
