It’s probably in her contract that she has to backstage vlog etc to get younger people interested in the show. The last few ALW shows haven’t done well, especially with the younger audience. Maybe he saw the ‘fans’ that Carrie brought into Heathers and wanted a piece of that. I really don’t think that she was cast for pure talent alone.
ALW has had his time, his musicals don't fit with the current pace of the west end or Broadway.

Just seen this comment on her recent Instagram photo. Didn’t she just say she wanted to grow her hair out again to donate it? I don’t know why I still watch and follow this girl- she is so rude and annoying sometimes!

I agree. I love les mis and phantom, but they're old now. With six and Hamilton and other such shows coming onto the scene, he needs to update more.

I noticed Joseph is touring again next year for 12 weeks only, just to get the old ladies remencising I guess.
Joseph is always a pile of stunt casts which is totally for the middle age women to fawn over their crush from their teenage years.

I find most of his work very out dated and problematic *cough* Miss saigon *cough*

To be honest he could just retire he's got enough coin the bank.

She thinks she's quirky by having bozo clown hair. But it ages her.

Honestly, I'm over 10 years older than her, and I swear I look younger. We both wear glasses, have similar figures, but she definitely looks more like she's the one in the mid to late 30s not me

Her long hair suited her. It was beautiful.

When ALW is good he's great, but when he's bad it's terrible. Not terribly interested in seeing Cinderella until I hear other reviews. It's a tired concept. If it's something like & Juliet then maybe I'd be interested as that was good. Depends on how much Carrie embraces the new theming if that's how it goes.
I saw Joseph last summer at the Palladium and it was good fun. The big names of Donovan and Sheridan Smith got attention but were outperformed by the rest of the cast for sure.

Miss Saigon is by Boublil and Schonberg, who also wrote Les Mis. Les Mis is my all-time favourite musical, but it is very traditional and Hamilton is way more impressive as a spectacle.

Agree. Even les mis, with the concert, shows that's the audience they were going for.

Ah tit my bad! For some reason I thought that he had a hand in miss siagon 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😂

I wish she’d realise that answering questions with a smug grin and her eyes closed comes across as obnoxious and smug, not endearing. Why does she even bother with these Q&As?

Carrie would never post a message like this....

She really wouldn’t. Oliver is not my cup of tea... I think he’s quite full of himself, but he understands you need to look like you have some humility!

Oh yeah Summer Strallen is a much bigger theatre name than carrie. CHF may have wider name recognition due to her brother and YouTube but in the theatre world Summer is part of the Strallen dynasty. Her aunt is Bonnie Langford and her sisters are all west end (and in Scarletts case Broadway too) leads. Summer was also in Hollyoaks and was chosen by ALW to lead the second cast of Sound of Music following the hollyoaks stint. She has also been in original casts of Love Never Dies and Drowsy Chaperone. She has an extensive and varied CV that CHF can only dream of

Oh I KNEW I recognised her... used to watch Hollyoaks years ago (for my sins!)

Thank you to all the knowledgeable MT fans on here who are always happy to help an uncultured swine like me :')

Totally agree with everyone that Oli has really grown on me during lockdown... I thought he was just a fame hungry cling on initially but he is clearly very hard working and seems like a lovely guy!

Felt like she was rolling her eyes again at the question about if she’s got anything to prepare for Cinderella.

was surprised when I had a scroll through that in childhood pics her hair is really quite straight/only a bit wavy.

She doesn't seem to have seen her family much after lockdown restrictions were lifted. I wonder if she's as rude to them sometimes.

Wonder if she's been annoying them since she moved closeby. At one stage she was constantly over.

We all know how egotistical and obnoxious she is, maybe it's draining on the Fletcher clan too? 😂

She's not done a public happy birthday message to her nephews this year so far either.

I guess she doesn't have to but considering she's so active on social media, that does surprise me a little.

Her and Tom definitely seem to have dropped off on the public social media gushing of eachother and also her seeing him and her nephews.

Carrie just comes across as a bit of a...well slob lately. Is she even making an effort to exercise in lockdown? 8 shows a week is no joke and yes body positivity is all well and good but you have to be healthy. If covid has taught us anything is we have to get away from celebrating unhealthy lifestyles.

Just to say in fairness to ALW his last show School of Rock was a success and also attracted younger people..but I agree on the whole he hasnt had a solid hit for over 20 years.
