The whole spiel about not pushing gender stereotypes on the baby is ridiculous because you just know that’s not going to be the case with them. ‘We’re going with the sex assigned at birth for now’ just reads dead weird imo

If they were sooooo concerned with that, maybe revealing the gender with a pink disney dress that really needed an iron wasn't the way to go. But oh well.

She just had to go there, didn’t she? 🤦🏻‍♀️ Sex assigned at birth 🤦🏻‍♀️

Think that’s more annoying than her high pain threshold nonsense. No matter what way the birth of this child goes (i.e. vaginal, abdominal, length of labour etc), Carrie will have to portray that she was fully in control and everything was amazing. She’s insufferable.

That dressing gown is a hideous monstrosity. She makes everything look grotty. The carpet looks like a budget hotel hallway, 15 years ago and her house is a cluttered mess. She has zero taste in anything and her super fans need professional, medical help. Rant over.

Me catching up on the last thread 🙏🏼

This disclaimer feels weird and unnecessary. Babies are born either male or female and don’t have any type of self awareness to decide, feel or identify otherwise. If they identify differently when they’re older then fair enough support them as any loving parent would, but I don’t think anybody would be coming for her for referring to the baby as a girl in the meantime if she hadn’t said this. I kinda get what she’s trying to say/do and actually good for both of them for having this attitude and being an ally etc, but talking about gender identity for a baby is odd and I feel doesn’t help when bigots would use this kind of thing as an argument to discredit people who identify differently from their birth assigned sex when they have the cognitive ability to do so.

I low key feel she would love if her child somehow identified differently just so she could use it as clout.

I think she wrote this more to cover Joel’s arse than her’s. He’s said racist and other generally bigoted shite before. It makes sense that he might say something transphobic too later down the line and I guess Carrie is putting in the damage control graft now.

So when they pontificated "WE WILL NOT BE HAVING A GENDER REVEAL, OH NO, NOT US". And subsequently went on to do a very public gender reveal with the unironed Disney dress on Instagram. She HAD already had a private gender reveal, with the Crown Jewels cast (since the show finished weeks ago now, we know that the gathering in the video was at least several weeks ago as well, before the Honeymoan).

Man she is such a LIAR.

There's a YouTuber I've just started watching who has a toddler and I completely respect how she deals with sharing her daughter online. As in, she doesn't.
She didn't tell her followers she was pregnant, when she shared the news she showed her briefly but did not share her name. She refers to her with a nickname and doesn't show her face on social media
This is how you set healthy boundaries

I am concerned that Carrie will plaster her baby all over the internet without any concern for privacy or safety.
I also like how Jessica Kellgren-Fozard does it. She will talk and baby may be in a photo but face is blurred or not visible.

The winnie the pooh hunny pot thing is really annoying me. It's so ridiculous. Like, what size is that??
It’s been bugging me too! How can she liken the size to something that’s made up/doesn’t exist? That’s like saying it’s the same size as a fairy or mickeys ears! Make it make sense 🤭
It didn’t help that she then said Jackfruit, as I’ve not got a clue what size they are! I’ve always been put off a jackfruit as I always think of the vomit fruit that’s on I’m A Celebrity when I see Jackfruit on the menu 🤭🤣

Interesting article here about ‘sharenting’ and why children should not be posted by parents on social media without informed consent.
It’s makes an interesting point that children should have autonomy over their bodies. Carrie with her performative views on gender decisions should perhaps apply the same logic to sharing her child’s every fart and which trouser leg it travelled down on social media. Let the child choose when older. Carrie hates how she is perceived and the lack of control she has over what the public think ofher. Why would she put her child through that? The internet never forgets. What damage could it do to a tween reading what the world thought of the ‘cute’ tantrum they once threw or the embarrassing glasses or wrong shaped head or baby fat rolls.
You only have to look at how some perceive her nephews. The elder is labelled the insufferable show off, the middle one naughty and the youngest ignored. One day they will read about all of that.
I would have so much more respect for her and Joel if they completely shielded their child from it.
Child protection vs ££££
We will see I guess
