whenever Carrie starts complimenting other MT performers she goes overboard and it sounds insincere. I bet she had her hopes up for playing Martha in the Treason tour
The language and tone she used is very similar to when she started gushing about Lauren Byrne as Miss Honey, a part we all know she clamours for

All actors do that, not just Crabbie. They all go over the top in their praise for one another to the point of it sounding completely insincere, especially when their insta posts are the same over the top time and time again. It's just what luvvies do. Look at people like Sir Ian McKellan, he's 84, he HAS to have had to work with some cunts in that time that he couldn't stand, but he only ever talks about what a joy XYZ was etc. It's an unwritten rule of being an actor!

Also wouldn't be surprised if they choose a cutesy name that works for a baby but is quickly questionable when you imagine that child as a 45 year old. Such as: Teddy, Alfie, Minnie, Bambie, Sunny...

My mum's ex had three nieces with names like (not the actual names obvs but very similar) Polly-Rose, Sunshine-Lou, and Maisy-Marie. All cute but they're probably wearing thin even by now - IIRC the oldest girl is 9-10 now and the youngest 5-6. I can see Carrie picking something like it

Carrie's kid is gonna get a career through nepotism, just like Tom's kids so it doesn't matter much for them.
But I'd never name my hypothetical kid a ridiculous name, no one would take them seriously and it could hinder their career in the future.
Imagine a Buzz Fletcher KC or Dr Buddy Fletcher 😅 (edit: obviously if those boys grow up and do want to be a Barrister or a Doctor I wish them all the best pursuing that dream, but I still think their parents picked silly names)

Sure but imagine that little Minnie Maple Montague wants to become a big shot lawyer, or Kingston Mickey Montague wants to be a financial advisor... :p

To me, her praise of the actress playing Martha was classic Carrie. She did the same with the Heathers. Reminding the theatre world SHE played the original.
Neither post was to do with the actress it’s all to do with bigging HERSELF up.
The song I say no was written for HER. Best of luck new Heathers actress singing it.
The part of Martha was originated by HER, the song is the best SHE’S ever sung it. Good luck newbie 🙄

Zowie Bowie changed his name to something quite ordinary I think? The names celebrities pick aren't any more daft than Lily Sue or Pearce as examples surely from more ordinary mortals

What do we think of “Molly” for a girl? A Harry Potter themed name. I’m scared of trying to guess names cause I have no idea which ones are considered cute, ugly or old-fashioned in English 😅 (for example I know Ruth and Esther are like granny names in English-speaking countries, but they’re really common in women in their 20s and 30s here).

Omg I’ve just caught up… As someone who likes the (PLAIN!!!!) Lucy and Yak dungarees for workwear, she cannot style them for love nor money and always seems to be picking the horrific patterned ones. She dresses like a 14 year old girl mixed with a granny with all of the clashing patterns and it makes me want to gouge my eyes out.

His birthname was Duncan Jones but was known as a kid as Zowie (his second name). He switched to 'Joe' as a teen and went back to Duncan Jones as a young adult. Off topic but I loved his movie Moon.

My bet is: Maple Fletcher Montague which isn't too bad on the quirky/obnoxious scale
And Maple will spend all her life going “No not Mabel, Maple…like the leaf…or Canada”
