So many ads on these threads for much better dresses than the ones Carrie chooses to wear. It’s like Next is trolling her 😂

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.
Unless the audience are voting in real time, the vote is a fix and she plans what songs/stories she will do.
Unless you see the musicians flipping through piles of music she has planned the running order.
There’s nothing spontaneous in this at all.
How else do you explain the convenient placing of ‘I say no’ as the act one closer.
Are Carrie fans dumb?

Anyhoo snagged a £4.95 ticket from ShowFilmFirst I’ll be able to observe her in the wild soon.

I think some songs are fixed in place and weren't part of the audience choice (I think?idk if ISN was part of it lol). But yes, many of them aren't that bright lol. What show you going to? Birmingham? I was tempted but I cba to travel a few hours to see it lol
 
I'm probably in the minority as I feel her career is going okay-ish for now. She's not getting the big West End parts but that could change in 2024 and we'll collectively groan (unless a pregnancy conflicts). I reckon she's coming out of this tour reasonably well financially - an advance payment secured and cut of the merch for example. Panto is a bit of a wildcard but as discussed in the last thread it's supposed to pay very well and she'll phone it in.

If the good roles don't materialise in 2024 perhaps she'll pivot to this mental health/influencer thing (or maybe it's already in the works). Her brother's struggled with MH and eating disorders, Harry Judd is into fitness content, books, retreats and mental health. His wife Izzy releases tedious mindfulness and mindfulness for kids books with no credentials. I don't think Harry has any qualifications either unless he's gone down the certified personal trainer route. Gi Fletcher has all her side projects, I don't know if she's done any health/wellness stuff? She's appeared with the Princess of Wales several times now regarding early childhood projects and Kate and Will are supposed to be ambassadors for MH causes, maybe Carrie sees herself getting in on some of that 👀
 
Anyone who has seen the show may be able to help me understand this based on what she actually said, but how on earth is she connecting the leading lady’s big solo song from Treason to the title “historical exclusive” when… the song at last is not exclusive in anyway… the version of her singing it is on Spotify, as is the version of Lucie Jones singing the same song which was recorded before the concert Carrie was part of, and the same song will be heard across different venues, sung by someone else when Treason goes on tour. I’m just really confused how she got to that title from that song but hopefully it’s because of something in the actual story I’m missing 😅
 
I keep thinking of the MCR/FOB mashup she seemingly preformed and I just can’t imagine her singing anything like those songs without it sounding like some manic Glee cover. Or even how it would fit into her not like other girls one woman show of ugly dresses and shouty overacting while clutching a prop book.

I was also just skipping through the songs on her album on Spotify and I HATE the arrangement that’s on some of the songs and I saw there is also a duet with Oliver (LOL). I did like her cover of Somewhere That’s Green though but can’t decide if I’m relieved or disappointed she didn’t attempt Audrey’s accent 😂

The arrangements on her album are awful. I remember downloading before going on a plane back when I was a fan, I had to find something else to listen to by the time we were even in the air

Well now you've scared me! 😬 And hopefully, no pun intended, she'll be told off when people with actual anxiety disorders see her try it. She switches causes or platforms, even hobbies, like underwear (Well, let's hope anyway). Can't wait to see how she responds to people who check her on her bs on a bigger scale.

I keep randomly thinking of this during the day and cringing. I thought this was supposed to be a musical theatre thing, I don't see how MCR/FOB fit in there.

I'd be very curious to hear more from someone that was there regarding this song!

C'mon, don't be mean. They are only selling some tickets for less than a fiver because Carrie's dad was working class so she understands the struggles people can have with money and wants everyone to get a chance to experience her art. 😻😻

Or at least this is the bullshit she will say if someone will bring up the filler tickets.

If I'd paid money to see someone perform and they wittered on about how anxious and stressful they find performing for me, the paying customer, AND they're not even performing as themselves, I'd be a bit miffed.

Maybe it's just clunky phrasing (I think she was maybe going for a "Beyonce has the Sasha Fierce alter ego" thing) and hyperbole (I'd guess even seasoned pros/people who love performing get performance jitters) but it feels very ungrateful towards paying customers.
