Carrie’s actual skin doesn’t look like that going off of her appearance in makeup less candids/videos. She seems to have really nice skin actually, but even so - once you’re past a certain age you have to be very careful with how you apply base products. I’ve had to learn that lesson myself this year, sadly. The makeup routine I perfected at 19 doesn’t give me the desired effects anymore almost a decade later.

Very matte foundation will highlight every crack and crevice. She absolutely should’ve paid a professional to do her makeup for this shoot. Or if that wasn’t possible then a (very gentle) sweep of powder to mattify for the cameras, a subtle blush, define her brows slightly, some brown mascara and a bit of rosy Vaseline on the lips and voila.

Did she do the makeup herself? I assumed that you would always use a professional for a photoshoot!

I am in SHOCK at how awful these headshots are compared to the selfies she shares. Clearly it's a combination of poor makeup, washed out/flat lighting, awkward expression... but my god she looks late 30s here! Fine lines around the eyes and mouth

May this is her bid to be taken as a SERioUS actor

I love the makeup (though it could look even more subtle) The look on her face I don’t know, but I guess you need neutral shots as well as smiling.

I see think they saturation of those headshots as been turned down because of her hair, just on my phone i upped the saturation up (a lot) and it looks so much more normal!

It’s so funny everyone commenting it doesn’t look like her. We are so used to her using filters. The aim of a headshot is to represent real life. No point in the casting director getting a shock when the real life person turns up.

It's a vast improvement on the 'let's dress up as a bookish quirky head teacher' one

But she looks a bit tired and dead behind the eyes and it's an unflattering angle, slightly looking up so making her look bigger and a bit chinny. She looks older, but more mid 30s rather than 50s so that's an improvement

The clips she’s posting from whatever this acoustic thing is are… not good. It doesn’t sound like it’s in a comfortable place in her voice, I don’t think sitting on a stool is helping that where she can’t get good belt posture and anchor properly. She’s also committing basically the cardinal sin of acting through song and keeps closing her eyes for no reason. Closing your eyes = shutting out the audience so you should only do it very sparingly at moments where it makes sense, not just on all the big notes to ‘help’ squeeze them out (it doesn’t help)

Obviously attraction is subjective but let's face it, for most Oliver is classically handsome with a hot body. Basically the stereotype handsome prince, which we know carrie buys into. Carrie felt like she had landed on her feet and probably couldn't quite believe her luck. Looks wise she was punching a bit with him.

She is not going to just get over that. And by dating someone who you have compared to your brother and gay best friend (and also looks and acts very similar), and is also the complete opposite of Your ex, screams rebound
