Caroline O'Neill DiggMama #2 Digs Deep to line her pockets!

It is very sad and I feel for people in need. However, I would rather donate directly to these charities, rather than feed Caroline’s ego with how much SHE has raised for DiggDeep.
I would like her to show how much she has donated out of her own pocket before she asks anybody else to give themselves.

She doesn’t donate to her own household so she’s certainly not going to donate to others, she does this for her own ego trip, how brilliant am I helping those less fortunate, it’s all about likes and freebies for her not about the kids she’s so FOS

I really just don’t get the role of dig deep for kids. I understand that they raise the money and many of her influencer friends come along and use their ‘power’ to make the money stretch further but at the same token is their not some who works for Simon community who is purchasing goods all year round with charity money. Surely part of their role would be to negotiate and find the best deals with suppliers/shops? What’s the difference in Denise Curran saying this money is for the Simon community what’s the best offer you can do for me versus the staff in the Simon community? It just feels a bit superior.

I was thinking the same…giving to charity, for that charity just to give to another charity. Makes a lot of people look like they are doing amazing work and getting all the attention but should we no just give that focus and attention to the charities and donate directly to them.
I get it’s doing good but just seems to be introducing a ‘middle man’! I think her intention to begin with was to raise awareness but now it just seems too much. Could these influencers not give their time directly to the charities? We don’t need this ‘middle man’ to make Caroline look good!

Couldn’t agree more with this. Those hard working people working day and daily for these charities and Caroline swoops in 1 month of the year to coordinate her influencer mates and takes all the credit.

Totally agree with this - it started with good intentions to gather as much as they could for cash for kids but creating her own charity creates more admin & red tape so surely some benefits are getting lost along the way to administer the charity.

Imagine how much brand awareness could be raised for the real charity’s if she was coordinating influencers friends to work directly with them, showcasing what they do all year round. Instead we all know the digg deep for kids brand, when we should know more about cash for kids & Simon community.

I agree with what you are all saying. Why would people need her face or that of the influencers to push them to donate.

The one thing I disagree with is that her intentions were good initially.
Caroline or any of these influencers don’t do anything unless it’s self serving and a boost for the algorithm. it’s a vanity project for them all.

Whilst she sits in her gifted/heavily discounted house at her sponsored table with its gifted exchange pump heating system talking about ‘buying’ fuel for ‘poor people’.

Then she tucks her children into their gifted beds at night with half filled bellies because she too tight to cook proper meals and they are all on ration portions.
But she speaks of hunger.

They are all nice and cosy under their Amazon bedding because no one gifted her bed linen.
This is despite enthusing all things local business & support local, the other freebies she has got over the years from various places that sells bed linen etc She doesn’t support any of them.

They are all the same.
Happily promoting things & experiences they wouldn’t spend their own money on.
Never see repeat custom either.
Should donate all their PR for the year if they are such generous people.

Do you know what would have made me think better of some of the businesses she had worked with over the past year - if she was paid a fair hourly rate for promoting them and that was it!

Daniel George kitchens would have got my respects going in and kitting out woman’s aid accommodation directly with basic units to the value of what she got.

Bassets would have got my attention for having her pay completely for her heating system and donating the rest directly to SVDP for fuel.

McCrystals would have got my attention for donating beds directly to the Simon Community!

That’s the problem Caroline likes the praise and all that comes with it, it would make more sense to give the money directly to the charities but Caroline wouldn’t get as much smoke blown up her ass if she did that

I would love to send your post directly to those companies.
I won't as I wouldn't copy from here but these companies should really hear this kind of feedback. It's important

Sometimes I wish we all had IG TT & X accounts with our Tattle user names and the return of one of those Blogger unveiled type accounts! That you could spread the message far and wide! Tagging the tit out of the companies.
There needs to be more clarity as to what exactly the collaborations are in terms of money and ‘gifts’ - in real money terms.
Should that be via a wrath of FOI requests or complaints to the ASA.

It's a lick arse, virtue signalling exercise. I've donated in past years but have donated directly to charities themselves since last year. Let's all show the world how kind and charitable we are and use businesses who are also soooo kind. These businesses are donating generously for clout and duck all else. Will take kings baby shop for example: will donate a huge amount of baby goods. Will also gift an influencer a brand new pram while not giving so much as a 5% discount to the regular Jo blogs who could possibly buy multiple times for multiple children. Drives me bleeping insane.

Well said and caroline is far from charitable all the free stuff she gets she never shares with anyone, she a greedy grabbing witch takes it all, it’s all about likes for the gram and look at me I’m so great and kind…no Caroline your a greedy fcuker and miserable with it

Someone who is local to her told me that she would never donate to local raffles when she had her business. Yet here she is now, taking all she can get her hands on from these businesses and acting like she’s Mother Teresa

It's all just a massive PR exercise for them all. I'd love to know if another charity asked them to donate their time and do exactly what they do for Digg Deep, only there's a catch. They can't post anything on social media, they won't get attention and they won't gain followers. Would they all be falling over themselves to help then? Doubt it very much. Self serving arseholes the lot of them.
