I watched that documentary. The thread lift… 🤢 wtf were they doing???! Those people need shutting down immediately.

Also, I must say, anyone who goes to a practitioner who got their, ahem certificate, from Boss Babes University, needs to gives their head a wobble.
Was shocking wasn't it. But people don't ask about accreditations they just trust the person. I saw tonight someone posting about the threads, ouch :ROFLMAO: no fanks.
Anyone in to their make up and history Lisa Eldridge has a series on iplayer. A lot is based on the stuff she did years ago.

Ahem ... Boss Babes Uni. Says it all really. I'd avoid anyone who refers to themselves as a 'boss babe' by sheer instinct.

Only read the write-up on the BBC site of the documentary, and that was enough. Will never understand how anyone allows random non-medical people to inject anything into them. Don't care even if you've been on a decent course, which clearly most haven't, you haven't properly studied anatomy and the face in particularly in a minefield when it comes to nerves and blood vessels and if you understood the risks and possible outcomes you wouldn't be doing that stuff in good conscience to begin with. So I can only assume they're kind of a bit thick and do not comprehend the risks or have no conscience and are only interested in quick money. The total lack of hygiene says both thick and uncaring. Ugh.

The fact that total losers are allowed to do that weird invasive string facelift nonsense .... HOW. I would regulate the shite out of that industry to the point you couldn't do anything invasive to anyone without a proper medical education. Even then, I saw one of the filthiest and most dodgy practicioners was a bloody nurse.

They say it will take a fatality before the industry is regulated properly. I could sign up to a course, pay £300 and start injecting people with fillers and botox the next day. Treatments are super expensive when you go to the right people, I can see why people look for cheaper options and also look for practitioners who will do what a client wants.

The nurse who was training them had only just qualified as a nurse 18 days beforehand! 😳 Beggars belief.
She was butchering that woman.

Difference is these doctors know how to correctly administer the stuff they're using to get that look. Every botox person I've been to has injected themselves which is kinda weird but I guess its allowed. One practitioner gave herself fillers!
I suppose it means their face won't fall off in the process but nobody is around to say erm that's a bit too much.
Anyone here have it done and notice the frown lines move up into their hairline, obviously you can't see them but you can feel them. Just a little observation on my part 😂

Interestingly the place I go to for baby botox (a doctor with a registered nurse assistant) is actually cheaper than salons in the area. He once confirmed to me that it’s a tactic to encourage people to go him rather aestheticians with a day’s worth of training.

Edit to add:
Haven’t watched the documentary yet but I was always told an immediate red flag is if a place that offers fillers & botox doesn’t offer free consults once they’ve settled, 2 weeks to a month later, in order to correct any issues or top up if needed (as most decent places will go in with less to start with deliberately, to avoid a botched job).

That's what frustrates the duck out of me!!

They rave about all these miracle products that you absolutely have to have, that will absolutely give you eternal youth and make you look glowing and youthful.

They spend hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds each year, buying up all these products and hanging off Caroline's every word about the products and then buying her kits to help get this desperately sought after 20 year old virgin skin.

Then some plonker complains about a wrinkle and next thing you know, botox is being pushed and promoted because actually, skincare cant stop ageing.

Can they not hear themselves?!?!

I was thinking about this recently. If influencers (Hirons, Hughes, Baggot) have access to the best skincare for FREE and they still look their age / look a bit ropey / use injectables…what bloody chance does little old me have? I mean, I can maintain what I’ve got the best I can, but really…as someone previously said, we are all going to age anyway. I’ll stick to my cerave and occasional fillers. 👵🏽🤷🏼‍♀️

Oh my god. A freak has just posted a picture of her young daughters bum cheek because of a rash..I get the post is innocent, looking for help but its a gross invasion of the child's privacy. Nearly 100k members, really uncomfortable with that.

I have not screenshotted, as I am appalled that the poor child is on there.
I really dislike stuff like that children shouldn't be plastered all over social media you don't know who these people are so easy for people to edit pics and share it it's gross

Just watched the documentary over breakfast
It’s shocking how unregulated the industry is.
Can I just say that it looked like the experts commenting had been dipping into the fillers a bit too much themselves. Those doctors looked weird!

Just watching now. I’m so sorry but I think everyone looks awful. It’s not my preferred look - the dense dark brow, heavy foundation & contour, pixie nose, big lips, frozen face, hair extensions etc.

I’m sure these women would all think I look totally shite though, so each to their own I suppose!

Totally agree with you. They’ve lost all individuality and have no character in their faces. But that’s just my opinion.
