On a bit of a tangent, does anyone have any experience of using Macmillan for support around cancer? I'm considering getting in touch but I've heard a few negative stories which is putting me off.

I unfortunately haven't had a great experience. I got in touch with them via their website when I was first diagnosed with my cancer. They said someone would be in touch, but didn't hear anything from them again. This was back in early November.
I've heard good stuff about them from other people though, so I guess it's just luck. xx

I'm really sorry to hear that. Thanks for sharing, I hope you're doing ok xx

Also didn't have great support from Macmillan. They always said they couldn't help me and to ring my breast care nurse, even if I rang at the weekend for support. Always had to start from the beginning of what type of cancer, family history etc despite them asking if I'd rung before so they could find my information. It was just a frustrating experience.

May I ask what kind if support you're looking for. There are many other cancer charities/info and also healthcare professionals that can lend their support. MacMillan is defo very hit and miss,

Definitely this. Flat friends / breast cancer now / penny brohn etc are very good

I think she's stressed and exhausted! She's had a lot to deal with (her daughters growth and then herself with treatment and scans etc) she just seems to be ranting a lot and I suppose she's taking it out on the gram!
Honestly a brisk walk would be so much cheaper and doesn’t need WiFi, if you see this LE give it a go and get offline, christ on a bike and the twelve disciples on a minibus this is a bit much hun, pop the kettle on when you’re back.

for his website for "positive and nice kind posts" omg pass me the sick bucket
Guarantee you when these lot fall out with each other tittle will turn into twattle and they’d be at each other’s throats. The ones who promote “niceness” tend to be the most vicious when push comes to shove. They’re not fooling anyone.

Nat W is becoming so bitter. She’s complaining that people dare to struggle with stoma reversals. Nat, you know it doesn’t detract from your suffering, if other people also suffer?
What you’ve been through is horrific. Don’t hate on others who are a bit more fortunate. They’ve still got/had bloody cancer!

It’s a very unattractive quality and will eat you away.

Yes, and she actually believes she is all enlightened and accepting of everyone for who they are, which makes her comments so much worse.
