God imagine being an adult and sitting down during the weekday and watching a kids show your kids have never even watched!

Have I sat and watched the end of a Tracey Beaker that my kids walked away from half way through and i'd been into it and wanted to find out what happened? Yes. Have I put Postman Pat on in the background on my 3rd screen when i just needed mindless noise whilst working? Also yes - because I watched those with my kids (or myself as a kid tbh with Pat) so I was already 'invested'. I would never sit and scroll cbeebies and see what's new to watch ffs! (also Bluey is toddler TV isn't it, not even primary school age?)

babs' summary of their holiday to Cali - "it's just like being at Disney in Florida...just a little bit different!" 👏🏻🤣

she literally went on a trip to Disney! what was she expecting?! if she had ventured out of the parks and into the state itself, she may have noticed a few differenves between California and Paris. she's even furious that certain rides in Cali are the same as rides in Paris or Florida - but have the audacity to have a different name! why bother going to California cliamign you what to experience a different Disney park, and then spend the whole trip making comparisons and moaning that is isn't the same rather than....enjoying it? 🤦🏻‍♂️

i also love the fact that she is clearly FUMING that the characters are wandering around the parks without queues to meet them as it totally fucks with her rigid daily schedule! she seems unable to cope with spontaneity, as it challenges her control over the family - meeting Captain Marvel at 11.33am was NOT gel-penned into her plan, she was supposed to be resting on a bench and shovelling suitcase mini eggs down her throat! she is desperately trying to hide her anger, yet totally failing! 🤣

and finally, babs - a 46 year old ex-teacher - would rather "eat my own poo!" *childish giggle* thna go on the big wheel. why is weirdly she so infantile?! same with way she is arguing with Ethan about winning at whatever ride - she was clearly furious that he questioned HER, responding with a stroppy and aggressive: "i DID win! I DID WIN!" *stomps foot* as Ethan immediately stops talking to prevent an impending mummy meltdown. and of COURSE their food was ordered to ensure hers arrived first, while the kids had to wait. 🤣

you can just imagine Erin off camera, cringing and rolling her eyes. 🙈

What a weird take she has on the Grange Hill anti drug campaign. I was too young to remember it but why is an attempt to use a popular show to educate kids not to do drugs such a bad thing?
also, given babs' stunted development, i imagine she was watching repeats of Grange Hill in her late teens/early twenties, so claiming that she had never even HEARD of "drugs" and it was only via Grange Hill that she learnt about them is so bizarre! and even if that were the case, it's not as though they were promoting them! learning about drugs via an anti-drug campaign highlighting the risks and the impact of addiction is hardly a bad thing - as opposed to first learning about drugs via older kids in the playground who would likely present them as a good idea.

Grange Hill wasn't aimed at toddlers - yet she seems to be implying that a storyline about drugs in a show aimed at kids aged maybe 12+ was somehow not age-appropriate? i'm sure there were younger kids who watched the show, but in terms of their target audience, it wasn't aimed at children. just because SHE perceives it as too much of a "grown-up topic for the Es doesn't mean it actually IS - especially given the young age some kids first experiment with drugs/become addicted, or have family members who struggle with addiction etc. with Erin at secondary school, I would hope it's a topic that she was been talked to about at school, given that babs isn't emotionally capable. she probably can't even SAY the words "drugs" or "addiction" - let alone "overdose. it would be the usual bullshit about "sad times". 🙄

I’m going to make a shocking announcement

I don’t find Bluey sad and I don’t relate to it
