Brookside is back!

So sad to see the death of Dean Sullivan (I saw it on a Brookie Insta page and they were saying they’d posted ‘prematurely’ took it and then put it back up again). Jimmy Corkhill was such a memorable character.

Love this photo

I walked past a pond in the woods with a big drain pipe yesterday. Reminded me of Anthony drowning his bully 😂

Is anyone still watching?
I love it! The writing and acting is particularly well done at the moment between Sheila and Bobby, with the vasectomy story. I think Heather‘s new chap Tom is going to try and control her (plus he’s got a funny mouth). The car buying with Harry and Ralph is entertaining.

As we speak! I watch every five new dropped episodes religiously. Even though I was quite young when it was first out I remember most of it vividly (including some early but upcoming storylines) and yet for the life of me I did not ever remember the Grants having a baby!

I'm waiting for Heather to have her relationship with the inexplicably cast man from Picture Box!

Also clocked Stephen McCann as Karen's fella!

I watched Brookside back in the day and I'm watching about 5 episodes a night on youtube. I live in Portugal and can't get access via iplayer or whatever its called. 🤣 I'm on episodes 1945 to 1949 September 97. Its just brilliant. So addictive. 🤣

Both of my favourite storylines featured Heather (Amanda Burton). The breakdown of her marriage to Roger - and then her marriage to the presenter of Picture Box 😆
I was gripped by both.

Oh, and I love any storyline involving Tommy Mcardle 😵‍💫😆

Unpopular opinion but I love that era of Brookside. Always ahead of its time as all the soaps are crazy now 😂.

Have you got to the Suzannah car crash yet?
I just love it all. Yes I have. That was a few months ago. My favourites are Jimmy and Julia. Sadly Gladys Ambrose dies soon irl I think. 😢
