I can only assume it's because Brogan has their entire boring life planned out down to the colour and gender of dog she wants.

She's probably already thought of an Instagram handle for her dog and needs it to look a certain way to match that handle. Has she followed a new account recently that she might have made for this future dog? The crazy weirdo. Remember when she made the account for her home before they even got one. She sees people as pawns and very much sees this dog as another thing she can monetize.

It’s the exact colour part that has angered me so much!! Why does it matter what colour a dog is?! We have a black cockapoo, who is turning grey (even though she’s only 18months old) and I couldn’t care less. She’s my dog, and I’d love her more if she was bald! yes she’s hard to photograph, but who cares! Oh yes, Brogan cares because it’s all for the gram!

It really angers me when people get dogs to be an accessory! I met someone in the park who had a fox red cockapoo, who was getting flecks of grey, and the women said ‘oh, I hope it doesn’t get any worse’. It’s not harming the dog, it’s a recessive gene! Sorry for the off topic rant on dogs, but brogans latest tweet has brought this anger back to me!
 
Devils advocate but most people do have a preference of gender for their dog, however when we’ve had litters that are either mainly boys or mainly girls, the owners don’t mind as they just want the dog.

I still think it’s a bad idea them getting a dog as she’s never had one. She should volunteer at an animal shelter first to get a little experience handling different dogs
 
You can’t home a breed that extra specially needs so much exercise when you think one 20 min walk a day is something to boast about.
Spaniels especially need so much exercise at the very least 1-2 hours a day, preferably more and long long 10 + milers at least a few times a week. Especially any springer spaniels. Poor future dog ☹️
 
If the dog genuinely needed "rehoming" there's no way it would be taken in 15 mins. The rescues I work with would take a list of all interested people & choose the most appropriate home, not the person who got in first.

Guarantee the dog needing "rehoming" was actually a puppy for sale on gumtree. If she wants to buy a puppy fine, but she shouldn't make out she's getting a rescue.

Yes, picking the gender of a dog isn’t a problem. I wanted a girl dog, because as a family we only ever had girl dogs so that’s all I knew. I also wanted a cocka/cavapoo because of their temperament and we wanted a small breed, but my husband was happy with any sort of crossbreed. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with deciding on that, but being so specific that you wouldn’t get a dog because it’s the wrong colour is just wrong! I read an article somewhere that said that black dogs on average, take longer to be adopted from shelters because they are not instagramable cos it’s hard to take a decent pic!

Totally agree about colour. I’m lucky with both my breeds as they’re all grey (although a nightmare when wearing black clothes!).

You also find with a lot of these fancy colours, purple/blue etc. they are just dilutes of other colours.

I love black dogs/cats

I have a black lab that takes wonderful pictures but yeah not the “it” dog of instagram. However he has the best temperament, now he’s 8 he doesn’t have as much energy but still needs an hour a day and he’s always been what we call lazy. We had a springer spaniel and he was mental. We used to walk him miles and he’d still go wild, poor thing got leukaemia at age 5 and we lost him. Hopefully Benji will take him or her on the runs he goes on get one of those leads that go round your waist. I feel so guilty when we go away and he stays with family And I only go away once or twice as year so I hope she’s ready for that. Dogs are prone to separation anxiety especially if they don’t have a routine where people are out of the house part of the day.

There is no way on this earth Brogan would ever have the patience to take on a rescue. It’s hard for most people since everyone already underestimates the true difficulty of caring for a dog with trauma. But absolutely no chance that Brogan would want to take on a genuine rescue. A flat pack ready made pageant dog is what I suspect they are looking for. Will need no exercise. Will look pretty for insta.

I’m not normally this pessimistic around Brogan but the reality is that insta dogs equals instant followers and likes. Everyone is catching onto this.
 
I’m really hoping Beth addresses the Brogan question if anyone has sent her one, I really like Beth and knew it would be just a matter of time before she saw the light.
Her vlogs are way better than Brogans and the girls only been doing it for a short while. I always got the impression Brogan knew how good Beth was hence Brogan hardly ever mentioning Beth’s channel. If anyone’s not subscribed to Beth go give her a watch, would love her to take over Brogan. She seems genuinely honest and Brogan is a selfish slippery snake who thinks everyone is in the wrong apart from herself 🙄
