It does cause pain if you overeat which gets relieved with vomiting. The biggest problem with it is that it can make it harder to eat things like meat and vegetables but stuff like chocolate and biscuits pass through it pretty easily so it doesnt encourage healthy eating or sustainable weight loss.

Exactly the same, people with IBDs find it easier to eat processed foods, but you of course have to limit your intake!

People do it though, they are able to lose weight in the short term but gradually increase their intake back to what it was before and the band stretches out again over time. I know quite a few people who within five years of getting a band have lost a large amount of weight yet been back where they were having eaten through the band.

You have to keep working at it for life, it’s not a quick fix. I don’t think Brogan has the will power.
Bonkers, you'd have thought going through the surgery would be enough encouragement!

I think it's far better to work on the psychology behind overeating and build better habits. Surgery seems like it's a quick fix but I always think, you didn't get that way quickly, it would have taken years. So if you're gonna reverse it, it will take years!

Agree that even with surgery, I can't see Brogan sticking to it. She's fundamentally lazy at her core now and uses food as a replacement for stuff she's missing. So until she looks at that, nothing will change.
This is also why I don’t even think weight loss injections would help for someone with her emotional eating habits. It’s not going to fix that at all, it’s going to stop you physically feel hungry (or make you feel poorly) which she will just find hard and make her more miserable. Also surely as soon as you stop then you gain it all back?

girl needs therapy, she can’t be happy seeing how big she has gotten given how upset she was at being bigger way back in 2018, and the comments she made in the wedding dress shopping vlog.

It does at first but unless you tackle the underlying cause of the overeating then it won't work for most in the long run. My friend had her band at 18st, got to a low of about 13st, but piled it all back on plus more and is now 23st. Shes thinking about having the gastric sleeve now but it still won't tackle the underlying issue.

There’s nothing really wrong with P&O?! Me thinks you and the previous poster earlier today must be smoking a crack pipe. Other than their 3 newer ships like you mentioned, the ships are dated and falling apart, the food is beige and bland, and entertainment is meh. Anytime I read reviews on various cruise sites, their customer service is shocking. I definitely notice it more than I do with some of the other major cruise lines. Even the newer ships have issues because of the cheaper deals they’re offering which now attract the trash that Ben & David dealt with on their last cruise with them. I take a lot of complaints with a grain of salt but when you hear the same complaints over and over there’s got to be something to it. How the cruise line addresses those issues is key to how they’re perceived to do business.

The overall impression I get, especially from the Tattlers here who are experienced cruisers, is that Piano is a one and done never again cruise line.
Loool you’re catching heat for this but you’re not wrong. Having watched many of B+D’s vlog the ships absolutely are beige compared to the other lines. There were orgies in the pool and screaming arguments outside their cabin on their last cruise! And the reviews they pull from that say behaviour is a problem on this ship can be found and read by anyone online. People are allowed to be put off by that!

Anyway I’m not that fussed I just think it’s funny that THIS is the post that people think is taking it too far 😂🥴

We've done the piano iona and although it is a nice ship physically, it looks like it's been decorated by an accountancy firm and the food was the biggest let down for us, straight out a 1970's Little Chef.
As for the variety of entertainment on a 2 weeker, well let's just say never again!
We're off on an other MSC shortly and a Royal Caribbean next year

I have taken the injections before and when they work they can be amazing. I found the lack of ‘food noise’ I felt on oz amazing. I couldn’t believe that that’s how some people always felt. Yes her eating probably has an emotional element, but she could also always be feeling hungry due to glucose imbalances (or intolerances I can’t remember).

I know we all like to tit on her eating, but I have been the person who can eat endlessly and doesn’t ever feel properly full. I don’t think people who don’t have the issue can fully appreciate how that feels.

I actually think MSC looks lovely and great value. I would still book with them after the B+D issue. I’m very picky about my environment lol. I’m shallow when it comes to my hotels and cruise ships 😅😅

I’ve only ever been on a Carnival cruise when I was at uni and I loved it! I’d love to go on another one - trying to convince my parents to come out to Asia next year and do a Royal Caribbean cruise with me! If not might try and do a European one when I’m home. I’d love to do the Greek islands - never been to Greece and think a cruise would be a good way to see them.

Oh I can eat endlessly too and have struggled with my weight my whole life. I am always thinking about food, I honestly I get it. But I have been that way since I was a child. It’s a constant battle and exhausting so I get it’s hard x

I’ve been watching her since 2015 and her food obsession didn’t begin really until she stopped working a real job and her life became this empty influencer void. But she hasn’t hit the influencer heights she would have wanted to so she’s unhappy.

I think she lacks purpose but is too blinded by making her life look good rather actually making it feel good and the food is a crutch. So therapy and life changes are needed, I think any interventions like injections etc would only be a sticking plaster.

I have really done the work for my IBS… I mean we all splurge from time to time and I regret it later that day or the next morning when I’m in agony but the Fodmap thing and watching what’s in processed snacks, etc has really worked for me. I know what my triggers are for the most part and stay away from them. It’s when something that is usually a safe dish for me revolts on my gut that I find frustrating. But it happens.

She's managed to watch this before I have and I'm not on a cruise (with so much to do...) while on my honeymoon!

I’m baffled by the fact any user on this site is taking B+D’s word as gospel, they are masters of manipulation but I’ll leave it there🤪

Looks like they might have a wet and windy journey back 😜

That's probably personal preference though innit. Your 'not too bad' might be someone else's 'fuuuuucck no'
It’s not a preference, it’s just my opinion based on actual experience.

She is really bad as a content creator. It's been days since she gave any updates. She is really selling that half cruise, I can't wait to play bingo with strangers and dry my clothes on the balcony.
Today should be the Mauritius vlog where they pout and moan because the weather is bad.
