I still just can't get over that after picture

Have you seen the skirting boards? They look rough af. I wouldn't dare post anything like that.

It really reminds me of my rough, cheaply done student accommodation. Our carpets were so thin you could feel the floorboards moving.

When you make such a big deal of ripping everything out/off to make it 'just right' why would you post a picture that still looks terrible after weeks of you apparently working on that room?

The skirting boards don’t even look like they have been painted. At this point they aren’t even decorating, just white washing the walls.

I reckon the house was over their budget so they now have no money to make it their own. Relying on begging and reusing the stuff in there! The carpet is tit. Once it's taken up it's always going to look a mess even if it was good before! The skirting should have been changed and painted fresh. The curtain pole is way too high. The light offers zero character or charm to the room. The white is like a blank rental property! All them samples of white and it just looks like an office meeting room!!! Well done guys. 6 weeks to reveal this basic monstrosity! We've just decorated our bedroom - took 3 days to do 2 coats on the wall, all the coving and ceiling twice. Then windows, skirting and both bedroom and ensuit doors! That's included filling and sanding any crappy bits and filling loads of our windowsill with wood filler! I was at work through all of this and my husband took a few days off to do it!! She is so basic it's pathetic!!!! Selfish witch hogging all them cameras. You can only use one at a time bogon!!! Did mother of the year never reach princess Ratty not to share..... Happy Monday by the way for those of us that get out of PJ's and go to work!!

But looking after a senior over weight springer spaniel is different to an 8 week old puppy.

I have 8 dogs and we would never have carpet, even if it is old and will eventually be replaced. You adapt the house to suit the dog

She will make the dog old and overweight soon enough, that's her superpower!

It’s probably Benjis dad that has spurred them on to make progress with the house. There’s is sitting empty while they spend their weekends eating out can’t be going down well, I’m sure he wants his house back. And fumigated.

Anyone on here who has had a puppy likely knows how awful the "puppy blues" are. Not sure if she will adopt an older dog or get a puppy, but the latter will surely add to her stress.
