Funnily enough I had thought ‘wow she looks very tall in those pictures’ but didn’t think of stretching. I think all pretence at keeping it real is dropping away.

She’s definitely moving ahead with her plans all of a sudden. I can’t knock her for that and it’s interesting how much she’s changed in a few weeks.

I always thought she would move to Australia.

Brittany is short, I always remember her saying she’s 5’3” because I’m the same height and always wonder how she pulls certain fits off.
Disclaimer: she doesn’t, she’s perfectly posed and they look like a sack when she moves an inch.
I once saw her in London, it was hugely disappointing and she looked almost comical, like a child playing dress up in her mother’s clothes. That’s how ill fitting her clithes were in reality, and I’m saying this as someone who enjoys wearing oversized baggy things

I've always wondered how influencers look in daily life. Some of the outfits BB shares aren't practical and I thought she wore most outfits just for the photos. it's hilarious to me to think of her doing her groery shopping in those big tents of dresses. She must look so out of place! I love elements of her style but it's not at all pracyical for daily life, and I'm certain most of her outfits look terrible when you see them in movment because they're so bulky/oddly shaped.

It’s all smoke and mirrors isn’t it. I think we have to be quite cynical about influencers - I follow a few who have a similar aesthetic and they are all gifted items from the same companies which makes it seem very fake - Dear Frances boots anyone 🙄. I’d be bankrupt trying to keep up with the consumption. Imagine you save up and invest in an item that they have been gifted that you would be looking for a good couple of years wear out of but they’ll be looking to have at least 5 new coats, for example, next season. The style may go from long to short too so where does that leave you with your investment piece that now feels outdated. I guess I’m feeling that sustainability and investment buying is completely at odds with making a living as an influencer (this was noted in an earlier post). I’m rambling but I’ve been increasingly conflicted about influencers and how on the one hand I do get inspiration from the style of influencers but I also feel uncomfortable supporting rampant consumption of very high end goods.

That's how it goes with any "successful" blogger though. It starts out fun and interesting when it's a passion project they do on the side because they really love it. Then when it gains more traction and becomes a full-time gig, it always goes downhill. That's just what happens when your little project now has to support a roof over your head.

I can’t stand how hard she tries to appear taller than she is. In most of her photos she poses looking down on us. It’s almost comical.

Her recent outift looks silly. The trousers are far too long on her (check the second photo!) and everything is so oversized it swamps her. A lot of her recent outfits are like this. They're all far too big. I imagine she looks ridiculous in real life with such huge clothes on.

She reminds me of this.... she must look funny walking about Norwich

I sometimes almost wonder if she just takes these photos that she thinks are artsy as shooting a curated sculptural piece and then changes into regular clothes to go on about her life. But then, I did bump into her once and she looked like a tiny clown drowning in clothes. The worst thing is that she could afford to source clothes that are still following this aesthetic but actually fit her and are in her size.

I’m not familiar with her education but what’s her arts background that is mentioned here all the time? It’s almost like she didn’t succeed at whatever her art school plans were and so she thinks her dress up is sort of art performance.
