I am struggling to understand why people are defending her?! If there wasn’t any proof she would have potentially ended his career.
Running up behind someone isn’t treating someone with respect and it was not physical violence ffs. If it was the bodyguard would be getting charged.

People in the public eye need to treat others with respect, says woman who fat shamed Christina Aguilera and her dancers and had a dig at Selena Gomez on twitter

There was a time when Britney was on top of the world. Adored by everyone, she had access to unimaginable wealth and opportunities. Sadly, the same system that afforded her those opportunities turned against her once she was deemed 'past it'. Unfortunately there are others like her and there will be many more. Britney's idol Madonna is in her 60s and still trying to recapture her youth and sexuality. Lately there's a trend of women being told it's empowering to monetise their sexuality and then the rise of Only Fans etc. It's desperately sad to watch Britney with her 'sexy dancing' and then turning bitter when she doesn't get the special treatment she's used to, e.g she thought she was entitled to do what she did with the NBA player because there probably was a time she could get away with doing whatever she wanted

I hope Britney serves as a cautionary tale to young women to not define themselves, and not allow themselves be defined by only their looks and sexuality

I don't really think anyone has turned against her for being past it tbh, look at Kylie, she's come back with a bang and she's older now. I think Britney could have remained at her level of fame (well in proportion for how long it's been since her peak as with all artists) had it not been for all of this stuff. I mean hell you get artists still bopping in their 60s and beyond. Look at Cher! She's glorious.

Yeah that's what I'm getting it, my point was poorly explained. The artists mentioned made comebacks and kept the hits coming. Britney twirls on Instagram

Taking away the complete ineptitude of the Bodyguard (As I said earlier, my husband is CP and I fell down an absolute rabbit hole last night with regards to the training in America. It’s a 20 hour course there as opposed to about 20 days here, which are intense as duck tbf. He came home one night from the training covered in fake blood and I tit myself 😅)
Does anyone think it’s weird that we’ve been working on the assumption that she’s completely out of it, yet is savvy enough to recognise a new and up and coming sports star? I know I certainly have assumed she’s just locked herself in her house doing weird creepy little dances, completely oblivious to the world outside. But this surely proves she isn’t?

This. It's like the rest of her life, stuck in the 2000s. Behaviour, dance moves, clothing.

Part of the issue is people thinking the praise is for ‘them’, as opposed to just attributes of youth in general. The actual individual is just totally disposable and most of the praise for their wit/talent etc often only occurs if they’re considered attractive.

Is it just me or is this a bit weird in terms of how it’s been framed? White woman touches a black guy without consent, assuming she’ll be welcome, security moves her away (whatever happened it certainly didn’t seem violent however imperfect it was) and then she throws a tantrum and tries to ruin his career? I’m not the type to read race into everything but there’s certainly distasteful historical parallels here.

How could he know he was perfectly safe, given a stranger was cannoning up to him unexpectedly? America has a gun culture, you don’t have to be physically beefy and/or male to pose a risk.

Exactly, she hasn’t changed or updated or even seemingly learned anything, it’s just repetition. When you stop learning it’s easy to slide into entropy. I know that it’s understandable she’s stuck due to her mental illness but entertainers need to keep reinventing themselves to keep the public interested.

I don’t get why she thinks it was ok to approach him in that manner?

the girl literally shaved her head because she was sick of having people touch her and yet she thought this was a good way to say hello to someone in her industry?

it doesnt matter what kind of celeb you are, you’re bound to have a crazy fan(s) out there so the security would rightly be in protective mode, as hers were when she was getting hounded

What I think is disturbing is that she seems to have people following her and spying on her at all times! There is covert footage of her arriving at the hotel, then during the incident, then close up footage in the restaurant after. Who is spying on her and then sells the footage?
Sam! At least that is what I think!

Wasn’t it only very recently that TMZ claimed she assaulted Sam and didn’t he leave for a while?

What did she say about Selena Gomez?

There was a period this year where she seemingly became obsessed with Selena Gomez.

The prevailing theory is that Selena made some offhanded remark to Britney at her wedding (Selena attended, who knows why, that ceremony was a murderer's row of randoms) about wanting Britney to be happy. Britney's mother had also told previously Britney that she wanted her to be happy, which led Britney in her paranoia to decide that Selena and her mother were in cahoots.

So Britney spent a few months making random backhanded accusations, posting photos of Selena, posting dancing videos set to Justin Bieber songs, and gushing about how awesome she thought Hayley Bieber was. It was not exactly a demonstration of mental stability.

That's what I find incredibly odd. Was she really that excited that she couldn't contain herself? Or was it just that she wanted in on the attention? I also think there's an element of her being Britney and having doors opened for her when she was younger because of who she is that made her feel entitled to behave that way
Yeah, I think in her mind he would be like "Oh my God, I met Britney Spears!" then she was embarrassed when she got treated like a regular person.
