Brian, you didn't write any of the singles. The only track that receives much airplay these days is Stay Another Day and it's pathetic for him to now put out a theory about Tony not writing it.
Brian talking about Tony supposedly being raped by Tom Watkins was never his story to be told, which is very unfair to Tony. If Tony doesn't want to address what happened, that's his prerogative.

he has a writing credit on Around the World which is very dodge - he was on video back before all his 90s pencil beards and baggy pants but as a clean shaven skinny kid saying Tony was tutoring him through the steps of writing a track for album number 2. that song ticks all the boxes of a Mortimer track as we later heard Brians writing on Up All Night and Resurrection + his one Solo album and it doesn't sound like that, suspect Mortimer let him have that credit after writing the backbone of it himself.
there are a couple of conditions for Brian to be skint -
1. as his East 17 wage came in he spent it with zero going into savings or investment but somehow had enough for sports cars, property, designer clothes,flashy jewelry, holidays, drunken and drugged up benders
2. Brian gets relatively low sales for every track he had attributed to him
3. Brian took a quick buck as soon as someone made him an offer and in the region of 20 years ago he sold the rights to those songs
4. he saved none of the money he got by performing Mortimers songs from 2001-2010
RE Assault allegations, Brian loathed Watkins because Watkins called him on his work ethic, come 2006 and that reunion, Mortimer arrived at the same place and they had the punchup, come 2010 Coldwell and Hendy got to the same place and swore off working with Harvey again.
Brian doesn't see Watkins and Mortimer as having given him money, fame and recognition of his voice, he is just mad, he is unwell and he lashes out by going for every attack vector he can conjure in his mind. He went from 1997 to 2024 saying the music (by Mortimer) was uncool drivel,especially Stay Another Day, he has attacked the song S.A.D. as NOT being about Mortimer's brothers death because Harvey doesn't understand analogy,subtext or shared themes and this last week he tried saying Mortimer didn't write it at all.
its mentioned and I think screencapped elsewhere in thread but a couple of years ago BH stuffed up on his livestream and pulled up emails on screen from 2013 when he had clocked up 3 years of all East 17 members being thoroughly done with him and turning down ventures including Mortimer just blocking all communications and he said to his email recipients that there must be a reason why and that he was gonna 'figure it out' but that it would involve Watkins i.e. Brian would eventually invent a story to enmesh the two people who most helped him in life but who he most resents.
soon after that time period he started dropping hints and then in the last 2 years he has been trumpeting his sexual assault story and backdating it to 1997. thing is, Brian is famously the person most lacking discretion in the UK Music industry (Ecstasy is a safe pill, I've popped 12,fellow kids!) and would never have sat on that information.
He has John Hendy on audio sounding like he agrees but bear in mind the purpose of the call was to help an old mate gone mad avoid getting in trouble for misleading police and its often necessary to play along with delusions to get through to people that drug addled or mentally ill.
this is a man who think Watkins faked his death out of fear Brian would come get him.. that Watkins backdated liver cancer by 5 years magically so he could run off to Hawaii and leave a body double and fake corpse for when Brian would eventually DM him on Twitter that he was coming for him.
the dude blew out the highlights on a Liam Payne picture in photoshop and saw JPEG compression artifacts and assumed its cause of something like propping up a corpse with a square wound or that Payne had a bloody brain implant or something.
