My children get whatever weekend is closest to their birthday as a birthday weekend. Every year. Always will.
They hardly ever do kids things. Most weekends they are dragged ro adult events. How bloody boring for them.
Such a bloody song and dance about it. Its her birthday. She ended up living her best mum life at her party anyway.
Unbearable.

It wasn’t even that mental. Just a normal community centre party? Fair enough the DJ and the OTT balloon display but the meal
Was more for the adults so that can’t be counted. My daughters birthday is the day after Halloween so it always ends up being a crazy few days. She’s 6 and has had 3 ‘community centre’ parties so far. They’re only kids for so long, why not go all out (if you can) but don’t make them feel bad for it if you cba.

Children are meant to eat intuitively… she should be pleased Q is confident enough to say ‘no’ and not just fill his face!
Part of me thinks she is trying to show the realities of being a mum - we have all been there, you make them dinner and they pick at it or don’t want it… but she just comes across as if Q is the worlds worst for refusing to eat anymore.. maybe he just needs a poo??
