I really hope her mum is ok. Quite irresponsible to be sat knocking back the Prosecco when your elderly mum is seriously ill in hospital. What are you going to do if you suddenly get a call and need to get yourself down there asap?

Maybe I’m just different, however I wouldn’t be touching a drop until I knew I wasn’t going to be potentially making decisions, going to visit my mum etc.

This!! I’d be worried sick, the last thing I’d want is alcohol and like you say what if you needed to get there? How is BM drinking too helping Chez? As her best friend, you’d surely be waiting for news, being there for her and also prepared to drive if she needed childcare for Oakley etc

How on Earth does she manage shopping with a toddler? I wouldn’t even contemplate shopping with my son as he wouldn’t sit in the buggy like that and just watch me do a fashion show! She’s been like this for a while. It’s all to cover the cracks in her marriage. Rather than admit things aren’t great she channels her energy elsewhere to distract from reality.

100% this. I basically did this without even realising. In a tit relationship with a cheating narcissist but all over my SM showing the good bits of my days (which were far and few between in reality) but when it's all bunged onto a few 15 second stories, looks great.
Fast forward to now, new relationship with an incredible person, never been happier, have more time on my hands now to post, but don't.
It was like i was trying to convince myself at the time that life was great and desperately hanging on to (and sharing) those rare good moments.

This is basically George. I thought it was just her being braggy first of all, but nah, you're defo right in that she's painting a picture.

Probably part of the reason she seems to be a functioning alcoholic and relies so heavily on the booze these days
