Why would you have a baby when you’re supposed to be setting up a business??!?

LWL I didn’t mean to offend you but I do sense your heart isn’t in all the Insta / blogging stuff anymore. Hope you find your niche.

I suspect it will be non-stop ads until the baby is born and those two little girls working their socks off for paid posts and to earn the family holidays. Jesus even Nanna Stella has joined in now 😳. This unborn baby announcement was put out at the optimum time Sunday Evening so they are infact working already to gain Mammy and Daddy followers.

I really enjoy Little wood life, especially the holidays (I'm a travel dreamer)
If her insta became pure travel I would be so there for that!
I no longer post anything to do with my children on insta, because I'm really uncomfortable with its footprint as well.
Blossomingbirds- well, fair play to her. Striking while the iron is hot, so to speak but it's becoming incredibly dull and staged imo.

Well i’ve always been a big advocate of transparency so I suppose it would be a bit hypocritical of me to lurk under a false name. Better to just hear these things from the horse’s mouth, eh? 🙂 Thank you for clarifying anyway. I appreciate that!

No offence taken at all. It’s genuinely interesting to read different opinions. And you have hit the nail on the head. Whilst I loved it at the beginning, it’s becoming a very saturated market now and gradually losing authenticity. I do believe there are genuine people with great talents in writing and photography who are doing genuine things, but sadly it’s overshadowed by the money generating business it has become. I’m not knocking making a living from it at all (that would be hugely hypocritical) but I can totally appreciate that the constant barrage of ads and unattainable lifestyles are exhausting to view. And with a daughter in her early teenage years, and two more children following, I feel a real responsibility to make my online footprint a positive one. Otherwise what will their generation be faced with? 🙈
Anyhow, it’s food for thought!

This is exactly why I said I like Littlewoodlife’s account - transparency. What you see is what you get. That is not very common at all, but it’s what I’m looking for in people that I follow

I’ve followed her for a while and I’m getting fed up with the constant ads I used to love her account. Have been considering unfollow her but it’s an addiction can’t wait to see what ads are going to come up now with No.3 on its way. Also house prices in Northern Ireland are so much cheaper than in England so wouldn’t go much on how they could afford it’s just cheaper to live over there

Exactly, it’s cheaper. Plus she only posts angles that make it look like a big massive house with lots of land, in the middle of the country side. It is not any of these things. The fields around are not hers, there is a main road to the side of it and a large car dealership not too far in front. Plus her back yard is small, with a larger house (it’s a storey higher) right at her back fence looking over her garden and into the back of her house. She only ever shows certain angles of her garden and never the back. Always holds her phone low and moves quickly. Her photography angles make all her rooms look bigger than they are. It’s disgusting that some influencers portray things incorrectly - no wonder people feel that what they have is not good enough. I like family pictures on Instagram but showing your kids in the bath to advertise Johnstons, and broadcasting everything they say and do, is too far in my opinion. She needed the new house and new baby to keep getting ads and making money. But I think it will all come to a head for these kind of influencers as more and more people find them unrelatable.

Well said 👏🏻👏🏻

It’s a fairly big house though. As is the garden albeit it’s a big square plot atm.

It’s not a teeny house no, I never said it was, my point is it is not what it is made out to be, and is not shown in it’s true light for example The garden that belongs to the house is not the fields shown in stories that it is portrayed, and only certain angles are shown. The photography inside is carefully angled too. Same as the old house, the bathroom looked massive and was actually teeny, as a friend viewed her old house when it was for sale, but people would have been looking at the gifted Roll top bath and feel their bathrooms aren’t good enough

Expect them flat out for the next few months so she can get free baby stuff, the house finished before the baby comes, and take some time off work when the baby comes

So it's pregnant now?

I mean, it's exciting and all but one cannot help but wonder if she knew they could afford a third as all the gifted cribs, nursery furniture and prams would literally come wheeling in??

Another wee baby to generate more cash from now. That'll surely guarentee an extension of the Johnsons contract.

I just can't stand her, what used to be a humble, down to Earth account has become a patronising, showing off, narcassistic super witch. One of the biggest game players of them all I suspect.

This. I admired her work hard working mum ethic now it’s all a crock of tit!

Long term lurker and had to sign up to respond to this thread 😬 I used to really enjoy Anna's account she was one of my favourites, found her very relatable especially being a working mam while blogging on the side, she was v real and thats what i liked about her, when she gave up the day job i thought oh dear she's going to turn into full blown Insta mam with ads and sponsorships, but decided to give her a chance and see what she would be like however sadly that's what she is now I ended upscrolling past her storiesand her feed as found it too curated and the girls used too much to sell things. I unfollowed shortly after she announced pregnancy no 3 as I could foresee ad after ad after gift. Such a shame as she had a lovely account and I do understand her wanting to give up the day job, but in the end at what price?

I feel that her girls are used far too much online to promote products and earn HER money. I remember seeing a thread on Instagram once where somebody had brought up the subject of little ones being used in ads and she was hammered for it. She was right though. Is this not the girls earning a living?

Anna seems to have them fully trained now as perfoming monkeys and it really is a shame to see them posing by instruction, playing up for the camera and even bathtime on show for the thousands of followers she has. I get it, I'm not yet a parent so perhaps it's a little uneducated of me to comment on it but I just feel uneasy with it, I followed her for the fashion but now it's all gifted items and shoving vitamins in front of the girls that we all know they don't take..

As for the Instagram classes she used to CHARGE for, I'm sorry but why do people need to be taught how to post a bloody photo? It just proves she knows all the tactics to do well and is encouraging people to be as sly an manipulative as she is. Don't for a second think we don't see you sucking up to the little accounts Anna.

I posted on this thread when it was just started because I actually really liked Anna. I still do have a soft spot and enjoy her photos etc. however my eyes are slowly opening to the way she works. She's very clever I'll give her that. She interacts with my posts often, when I have barely any followers, but now I see that's how she sucks you in.

I too also loved how she juggled the blogging, the instagramming all whilst working really hard in a very 'normal' job. Such a shame that she's given that up. I don't knock her for it because if the opportunity is there to not have to work all the hours whilst still earning a good income, I'd take it, sadly it just makes her less relatable.

I can't help but think it's all to make small accounts feel of some importance to her, of course they are. £££££££££££

I once posted a photo of my breakfast, it looked like it had been spat out. She posted a really nice comment on it. I couldn't stop laughing scrolling through my feed and seeing she had commented on loads of small accounts like mine, 20 minutes later, she posted an ad!!!

Yeah engagement makes sure that all those accounts then see your ad - all part of the Instagram algorithms that they all know about!

I've unfollowed so many recently for the unrealistic and perfected lives they portray- it makes you feel like crap and just can't relate at all anymore and i feel i enjoy insta a lot more after unfollowing. As I said above I really did like Anna and it was mainly because she was a working mother like myself and I could relate to her struggles with juggling work and family, I also really enjoyed her fashion pieces aswell before the Very sponsored posts came along. I must admit I was disappointed when she gave up her job even though I understand completely she had an opportunity to be at home more however when it comes to the point of using your children to advertise anything and everything is a step too far for me.
