BlossomingBirds #7 Blossoming beg, the new house era

In shock that she felt now was an appropriate time to post about “playing house”. Social media is (rightly so) full of outrage and horror at the happenings in Gaza and not a mention from BB. Wouldn’t blend into the colour scheme on her pretty little grid. Believes in the midst of everything we should all fawn over her bloody back door. Sickening. Doubt she even for a second appreciates how lucky she is to be so clueless.

While I don't necessarily agree that people HAVE to speak out just because they have a platform, I do think they should avoid being completely tone bleeping deaf! Social media today is awash with Rafa this afternoon so be interesting to see if she does join in the crisis appeal.

I agree in some way that they shouldn’t have to speak out, although it is jarring that they all tend to jump on every other topic out there if it gets them views and benefits them in some way. As you say, they should stop being so tone deaf. Her post came across as extremely shallow and in my opinion really inappropriate in the midst of everything else on social media, and very much lacking in sensitivity for the current climate. I feel like BB and All.Thats.Pretty have really stood out lately as showing they live in this other world without a care for anyone else. They are so used to showing off their privilege and wealth, they have forgotten how incredibly distasteful it is. I have unfollowed both now, seeing their posts/stories just makes me feel really uncomfortable. The showing off & influencers fawning over each other has just gone too far in my opinion.

I agree, really starting to find Instagram a toxic environment that’s just all sell sell sell. Seeing the paid for/ad holidays is such poor taste considering they could easily afford them but they’re consumed with portraying this false image of ‘we’re brilliant parents and look at all the great things we do with our children’ It’s all about the money…why do they all have the same Chanel handbags and Range Rovers too? Instagram is all about having ‘stuff’

Yep, stuff nobody needs. It’s all merciless consumerism, made to make us all feel inadequate unless we have the on trend items - no one is on their deathbed reminiscing about the Chanel bags and range rovers and if you are, well was it a life well lived?!

I wonder when the girls will say no to being filmed and used for ads. They have to be getting to that stage. I also wonder what the friends think, everything is so staged to be perfect. Life is so busy with kids at that age, activities, sports , etc. I know Anna and Colin don’t actually work but they must think that their family are getting to the stage where they need privacy and be left alone.

Vapid people like Anna will probably look back over her Insta-perfect life and feel it was great and she'll be none the wiser as to how fake it was.
This is so true!…she will 100% look back and think she’s had a great life but the fact is, she’s constantly thinking of instagram, having to record or take pictures of the ‘perfect moment’ but she doesn’t live in the moment, I’m so glad I can live my life without putting it all over social media, it must be draining having to constantly think of ‘content’ as soon as you wake up until you go to bed, my kids and privacy are far more important than a few quid, more fool her.

Having an instagram account and it effectively being your line of works must mean it consumes much of your time and thoughts. A lot of jobs you can work Monday to Friday 9-5.30 (give or take a few hours here and there as extra!) but for me she can keep that kind of job, it’s not for me. It’s way too much of selling your soul and your life to warrant the freebies and lifestyle
