Okay, maybe someone could come up with a suggestion for me, because I'm struggling with this ...

He's a Doctor (or a Junior Doctor).
That means passing GCSEs, then A-Levels, getting a decent Degree, then doing post-grad medical studies.
That would, I imagine, involve a hell of a lot of dedication and study.

How does that fit in with three spells (as mentioned last night) of living in a commune where they forage for food in the woods, have no electricity, and no phones (and I assume no laptops either) ?
I thought he just works in a care home and not actually a doctor

Matty away from the love triangle is great, he has emotional intelligence and empathy, he has also done so much in his life for someone who is only 24. They didn't show it on the highlights but that day Jordan was ignoring Henry, Matty lay next to Henry and just let him talk and be someone he could confide it. It could have been a very awkward convo but both him and Henry handled it so well. I love Jordan but do think that Henry and Matty are both far too mature for him.

It makes me wonder if Jordan has been in many relationships or dated much before. At times he's still like a teenager in how he acts around a crush.

It’s nothing to do with race/gender etc. when it comes to how people are being in this house. Do you forget it’s real life and you don’t have to like/talk/be nice to every one? You’d accuse them of being fake if they all acted like that
So it’s just random that the group who are nasty, agressive and bullies just target the 3 minorities when they have done literally nothing. Weird huh.

Not even about like / dislike. You don’t have to like anyone but Trish can just breathe and they say it’s aggressive.

I'm also curious for someone who would pretty much be a brand new qualified Dr, why did he decide to go on BB? Isn't medical school a 5 year degree? I do wonder what the motive was to be on the show. Maybe he'll go back to normal dr life afterwards, but generally i was always thought people want to be on the show to get something from it at the end, even if they don't win.

No, he mentioned he works in geriatric care - that could be a private end of life care facility, could be in a hospital. He is a qualified doctor though I believe (would be very odd to say the title doctor and not have actually passed your degree!)
I’m just going from a post someone wrote about an article they saw about him working in a Dublin nursing home

The audacity of Tom/Olivia/Jenkin/Chanelle to call Trish aggressive m/LOUD when not an episode goes by where Olivia does a high pitched scream like a 6 year old in a playground.
Jenkin is a moody bastard who is so incredibly rude and brings a constant air of negativity to the house.
Tom is a chameleon with 0 personality. Silly little boy who needs a reality check or honestly someone to thump him one.
Olivia is the girl who peaked in year 10 and still carries the still sense of self importance.
Chanelle is boring and two faced. She’s not added anything to the series whatsoever.

I love Matty. He’s like a little wisp floating through the house but I just sense a really nice calm energy from him. I love that he stood up for Trish last night.

I don’t mind Yinrun but the crying is too much. The novelty has worn off and I’m getting bored of her the closer we’re getting to the end.

never expected to love Henry as much as I do but I genuinely think he’s a sweetheart.

Fucking love Trish. Unapologetically who she is and won’t back down. Love it.

Love Jordan’s humour/sarcasm but the live triangle arc is boring. His and Matty’s conversations half the time don’t make sense.

Paul has had some great media training, he keeps talking about mental health in his interviews since eviction.

More surprising than Matty being a doctor is that Jenkin works in a bar/cafe ...he is so unhygienic!!

Paul was saying he had lots of talks with Matty about mental health which weren't shown. Could be true. Possibly.
He does bring it up an awful lot now.

There is an off grid community quite near where I live. I only found out recently. Had no clue. People can go and stay and volunteer for a couple of weeks at a time. Maybe Matty does/did that sort of thing.
Btw Matty's voice is lovely and gentle. I love his accent. Where is he from?

Maybe he wants to be the new Dr. Ranj?

I was thinking, they all must have a serious amount of money to be able to even go in the house.

You’ve firstly got to have a enough to be able to afford not to work for up to two months (rents and mortgages still have to be paid when you’re in there) unless you live with parents and you’ve either got to have a job that allows you to go on sabbatical (usually a sabbatical can only be taken by someone who has worked at a company for a number of years) or be well off enough to leave your job and have enough money to have time to find a new one once you leave the BB house. People like Hallie and Olivia live with parents but the rest of them must be pretty well off to be able to just up and leave what ever they are in the middle of. Especially if you have children like Trish. I wouldn’t be able to. I have a good job but with the cossie livvy crisis I’d be super fucked without a salary for a couple of months.

Could it be like love island where they kept paid a little per week (sent to their bank account) for their expenses (rents, mortgages etc)

EDITED
My apologies, I've also just seen the same thing - there's a LinkedIn profile under Matthew Simpson who is a HCA at a care home in Dublin.....could that be him?!
Further digging - that care home chain no longer exists in Dublin so it's either him and he worked as a HCA back in the day alongside his studies (very common for docs/nurses) and IS now a doctor......or that's some other Matthew Simpson 😂

Paul had actually done podcasts talking about mental health 2 years ago, I think a lot is not shown on the show which could be positive talks for people to see especially when so many people genuinely suffer with bad mental health
