I 💯 believe that he wanted the apartment, mommy co-signed the lease and he lives there when he wants but she pays it. I’m sure she came by one day and was like “this place should look like an adult lives here” and redecorated it. 😂😂😂😂 and then he complained he needed an apt closer to DL FOR HIS JOB and mommy came to the rescue again!

I too suspect there is some truth to this.

I think this whole youtube thing (it's my job - it's a business) is nothing more than a tax shelter. If you figure in all these costs - rent at two places - parks - everything else - the income from the channel isn't' a drop in the bucket - and I think that is by design.

This allows - someone - to subsidize him and write it off as a loss. Maybe save some sweet tax money somewhere. Just a hunch :sneaky:

It would explain why they seemingly go to great efforts to make sure they do live streams from both places.

Its not listed on Airbnb. Posting it on Airbnb would be too obvious. I do however think that several others, mom included are helping pay the rent, sub leasing, which is against the lease from what Spencer said.

I think you made excellent points with both of these! It makes no sense why an older woman would commute from her comfortable home to a bachelor-style crappy apartment that has nothing other than a good view of the ocean. Not even a decent wide and sandy beach. They may be cosigners on whatever lease, but I doubt she'd stay there regularly.

No doubt the cheapest possible place on the water in Malibu. No shame in that. Nothing wrong with that.

But it's just another brick in the wall of his made up persona. He gets the bare minimum connection to a better lifestyle - lets say the bottom 10% (and there is NOTHING wrong with that - still better that 95% of the population) but that's not enough - he has to pretend he is the TOP 10%.

He is/was on the edges or periphery of show business and milked it for every last drop.

He is the guy that "meets" someone semi-famous in line at starbucks - and for years - tells the story - and acts like not only are they friends - but the celeb respects spence for looking like a slob and living in Malibu.
