Genuine question if there's any health professionals on here. What happens to people who are her size if she was to collapse or have a heart attack in the upstairs of her parents home? Because I can only presume they wouldn't be able to carry her downstairs on a stretcher to be rushed to hospital surely? Would she ever be able to be air lifted if needed too?
Random I know but it's my day off and whilst watching 999 critical condition I thought how the hell do they save supersize people. Do they just have to call it quits or what? Who moves these massive people if needed
did she thank beyoncé tho?Going on like she's won a bloody Oscar
Edit: "we are only here once on this Earth" oh give OVER

We had someone in our town that sadly passed away from a heart attack in his sleep, due to his size they had to arrange some sort of cherry picker to allow the team to 1- access the house/ bedroom (house was locked) and 2- remove the window to get the body out as due to his size and weight they couldn't find a solution to carry him down the stairs ...I’ve known someone who was bigger than Becky (55stone +) and bed bound upstairs. The fire brigade had to do a risk assessment to assess a safe exit route in the event of an emergency and it was either to move the person using a sheet of tarpaulin or a specialist mat down the stairs, or by removing the bedroom window and taking them out that way. Either way, adds time to evacuating someone during an emergency and increases risk.
I work alongside the fire service (in a rural location) and was chatting them to the other day about their call outs. Because our part of the UK doesn’t have bariatric ambulances widely (sorry ) available or clinicians, bariatric call outs have overtaken actual fire call outs for them. Paramedics simply don’t have the right equipment or man power to remove them from the property when they need to go to hospital.Genuine question if there's any health professionals on here. Hiya, one of my friends is an air ambulance paramedic. I once asked him about this & guess what... they actually need to ensure enough fuel is onboard to even consider shifting obese patients. It's harder for the chopper to fly. He used the word "heifer"! I got to visit the airbase & believe me, the inside of the helicopter is much smaller than you'd expect too, I seriously doubt Becki could be airlifted!Genuine question if there's any health professionals on here. I don't know why but it makes me laugh every time someone calls her RebeccaSo so grateful
Fank youm so so much
Grow the duck up Rebecca
I gained so much weight during lockdown, it was a hell of a time for it! But stuff like this was the reason I got to a point where I was genuinely scared and had to do something about it, I can’t imagine how horrific it would be to be in that situation and everything be delayed because they physically can’t move youI work alongside the fire service (in a rural location) and was chatting them to the other day about their call outs.
