Of course they are doing organised tours, lets hope Mollys research involved looking into ethical treatment of some of these tour companies

Honestly I know they're going to go to an elephant sanctuary and that gives me the fear that they'll inadvertently support some horrific things being done to the elephants

I can't believe they are doing tours. I get it if you're solo travelling for the first time and are a bit worried, but they are together. It makes no sense at all.
I can get doing a tour at first since they know they're going to be in Bangkok for 5 days so it's something to do to fill that time, meet people, and see the city. After that though, they're really just wasting their money. Thailand is so cheap and quite a well worn path now, idk why you would waste your money on tours.

I don't get why she said planning a route and quarantine times was hard and that's why she's doing a tour. I went to South East Asia for 6 months in my early twenties and I loved reading up about everything. I plotted a route on a map, knew where I wanted to visit but also changed a lot of my plans because of the friends I made along the way.
I'll be disappointed if she goes to a tiger sanctuary or an elephant one. My bet is the whole trip will be a tour and she's trying to save face.

I’m not surprised they’re doing an organised tour again. But do we know if she paid for this tour or not? Is this another gifted trip? I’m honestly jealous, I’d take a gifted organised tour any day (regardless of my travel snobbery around these tours)

What’s frustrating is she does these tours but then will still act like a seasoned traveller with all tips and tricks, and talk about route planning etc

For me, there's nothing wrong with tours, but own it, if that's what you're doing. Be open and proud about it, talk about the benefits and why it works for you. Don't act like you're some lifelong dedicated travelling superfan when essentially, you're just doing package holidays.

Tell me you're culturally insensitive without telling me you're culturally insensitive. When you google 'visit thai temple' the very top result has this in the very short blog: " although skirts or shorts are acceptable at many temples, they should be smart and at least knee-length "
