BBC iplayer shows

I’ve not watched them all yet but about 7. The third one with Harriet Walter is my favourite just about. Also the one I’ve found the most tragic, though all are sad. But it’s a close thing with the first three Imelda Staunton, Sarah Lancashire (I think that was new , there were some modern references and the sets looked More 21st century. I was under the impression a few are ?) then Harriet Walter. And the fourth with Jodie comer very very close to. Funny that the male actors haven’t been quite as exceptional so far. Or maybe it’s the monologues themselves. I’ve also watched Kristin Scott Thomas’s though, which was enjoyable but also not on the same level. Story wise or acting wise. Overall tho it’s probably some of the best stuff I’ve ever watched, honestly.

The Martin Freeman one was originally done by Alan Bennett himself so a lot to live upto.

Yes two are new. The Sarah Lancashire one (that was filmed on the Eastenders set - the flat above the Queen Vic!) and the Monica Dolan one.

Which one was on last night?

I'm not sure as I've watched them via the iplayer rather than wait for them to air each night.

I am currently watching cardinal, really enjoying it. Has line of duty/Luther vibes! Both great programmes as well btw! Also enjoyed normal people & bodies!
Cardinal is excellent, I binged watched all 4 series in my week off work. I’m gutted they aren’t doing anymore. Highly recommend it on the iplayer to anyone’s who’s not seen Cardinal 😀

Normal people is good if you want something which feels like it goes by quickly,
Luther is amazing (minus the last series in my opinion)
I second whoever said line of duty because it was probably the best thing id watched in a while
Fleabag is good if you like a series which addresses the audience (wish, she breaks the fourth wall)
I'm not sure if it'll be on there but happy valley is a good police drama (it might be an itv one)
and also I have to second the person who said killing eve

if you've never watched it ambulance (or paramedics on scene on BBC Scotland) is a good documentary series. (my fav one!)

Second the young offenders , love it ! It’s a bit like a cork Derry girls with two boys , obvs very different but nostalgic Irish that kinda thing. So so funny

Love The Young Offenders. I’ve just watched the first episode of the new series. 👌

Pose
Shrill
What We Do In The Shadows

Don't think any of them are actually BBC produced, but all brilliant. I've just finished season 1 of Pose and I didn't want it to end. Trying not to binge season 2 as that's all there is so far! Only 18 episodes in total. It's fantastic. Shrill is great, also two seasons but you can binge each one in an evening basically as they're short episodes. Lolly Adefope plays the lead character's best mate/housemate and is brilliant in it.

Does anyone remember the bbc show Cutting It? Bit tacky and cheesy but entertaining! When Amanda Holden wasn’t so annoying 😂 just seen they’ve added all episodes to iPlayer! Definitely gonna watch it again

I did like it but can’t bring myself to watch Mandy!

Does anyone remember Burn It with Lisa Faulkner and Chris Coghill? I wish they’d show that series again.
