Agree with the Meagan comments but it also makes me so sad that suicide is still covered up with so many layers of shame.
Yes, it’s a given when someone ‘died suddenly’ and there are no suspicious circumstances that they died by suicide but I do not know a single adult who has not been affected by suicide. It’s so sad that it is still not spoken about openly and respectfully.
I don’t listen to So Dramatic Podcast but I was following them on IG. Recently unfollowed and I’m glad it did. I disliked their clickbait headlines and crappy articles. Megan only cares about ratings and $$I feel like suicide has been ruled out here, no? And if so, makes Megan’s posts even more appalling.
Interested to see if anyone here listens to We Don't Have Time for This with Gemma Pranita (Peanut) and Kate Reeves? I liked it when they first started out but it seems as though they have grown a bit insufferable with the growth of their following? They both seem very VERY priviliged and although they acknowledge it, it still REEKS of it. Same with the Beyond the Bump girls.
Exactly this!I used to listen but I got over Gemma real quick I like Revs though; she seems really chill
I used to looooove them, but agree Gem is very privileged. I still like the podcast, just not as obsessed as I was once was. Even this week, Gem being like my tiny house trip was not sponsored. Ummm mate, they gifted it to you. You didn't have to pay which is more than what most people can manage, because it's out of our reach because of cost alone. Same as her bullshit makeover of her house on the tweed. tit like this drives me absolutely insane about influencing.Interested to see if anyone here listens to We Don't Have Time for This with Gemma Pranita (Peanut) and Kate Reeves? This is exactly how I feel about Life Uncut. I think Laura and Britt would like us to believe they’re super close but the truth of the matter is Britt’s far closer to Keeshia and Laura’s sense of jealousy comes through at times.I used to be avid listeners of both these podcasts but deffo getting the ick. Gemma absolutely coddles her kids, Revs is clued in and I reckon low key seethes occasionally on Gemma’s privilege (though they’re long term friends so probably accepts it.) Their FB group is just women who should be leaving their husbands.
Love this take. Couldn’t get into BTB and I don’t mind We Don’t Have Time for This, but I think privilege / wealth not acknowledged along with influencers shilling tit constantly seems to be grinding my gears during this financial climate.I used to be avid listeners of both these podcasts but deffo getting the ick. I used to adore Sophie from BTB. But lately she’s just gotten a bit icky for me…maybe it’s just that wealth gap and privilege gap widening. And they’re always like “we support women etc etc” but honestly her husband seems to do what he wants a lot, and obviously she’s a “chill wife” so I guess doesn’t fuss? I listened to the recent “12 weeks with Pearl” ep and honestly her husband is very “yeah I’ll be honest, it has been hard on me” for xyz reasons. Maybe I’m a massive witch, but I don’t think men can say it’s hard for them to “go to work” (in his case) put the kids to bed, and then help his wife. That is what women do EVERY DAY without complaint.
None of them are bad people, I’m sure they’re great friends. It’s hard to listen to 4 people living in gorgeous houses/places with attractive partners feel sorry for themselves. There isn’t a lot of perspective.
Extra: Zoe Marshall from the Deep is the WORST interviewer alive. That podcast is purely trauma porn.
Did anyone else find the Tuesday episode of outspoken was painful to listen to? They sounded like they were really dragging out their words and didn’t have much emotional tone behind their stories? It was like the episode had been slowed down!
Literally everything Jessie complains about in every episode she's on isn't anybody else's problem but she's managed to make a living out of it. Does she not realise that time zones are properly prohibitive for some people from accessing their tv shows that she spoils? We don't all have lush WFH setups and cushy media jobs with our MIL as our bossYes it was woeful. Go on mat leave, Jessie! She was so bratty about tv spoilers - ‘your time zone isn’t my problem.’
I listen to most podcasts at 1.5 or 1.25 speed as it is often so slow and drawn outDid anyone else find the Tuesday episode of outspoken was painful to listen to? Not that I can see. But how cursed is that show? Bride and prejudice? I would be going a bit loopy too! Most of them have died! It’s truely bizarre.Has the do dramatic and bride and rowdy nice Danni erksibe been discussed anywhere
