The one who surprised me the most was Elizabeth Moss - June from Handmaid's Tale and Peggy in Mad Men. How can such a deep, intelligent, talented actress believe in or get trapped in Scientology?

(Have family anecdotes of Scientology and not getting trapped in it, so am not coming from a place of total ignorance!)

Elizabeth Moss was actually raised a Scientologist so unfortunately it is all she has ever known.

Mad Men is one of my top three tv shows of all time, and I was GUTTED when I found out about Elisabeth Moss! 😭 As you say, she seems so much smarter that that!

I was also pretty disappointed when it turned out that almost the entire cast of My Name is Earl were in the cult - though I’m glad that someone mentioned that Jason Lee seems to have escaped.
