nice one! XxGuys… if anyone was after those Dr Dennis Gross peel pads that were mentioned on here the other day, just letting you know they are 25% off today on Look fantastic. I’m going to order both strengths to try. Fraction of the cost of Ashleys X
Hi girls, I’m an OG pod listener and need some advice from someone who’s knowledgeable please
All the stuff the girls recommended just blow my mind. I’m early 30’s, never had acne and have combination skin. I’m just wanting to achieve a nice glow, improve texture and any fine lines. I have Botox too. What should I be using daily? I’m trying to start a consistent routine. Any help would be appreciated thank you x
This is very similar to my routine. Vit c, spf (I use La Roche-Posay spf 50) in the day and at night retin-a/tretinoin. I buy mine online from alldaychemist. I use other moisturisers too for the day and nightWhat I have personally found to be a good foundation for a skin routine is a Vitamin C serum for the am, retinol for the pm and spf. I have found that a good introduction into the world of retinols is the Medik8 crystal retinol, no irritation what so ever and creates a nice result. Then eventually you can start including peptides, acids etc… others may think differently to me, but I hope this helps x
I have borderline combination - I swear by pixi glow tonic, pixi clarity concentrate (not overly expensive but having tried more expensive ones, these work better for me) and Charlotte Tilbury magic cream at night. Everyone’s different but they’re 3 than when I don’t use, I know about it xHi girls, I’m an OG pod listener and need some advice from someone who’s knowledgeable please

Don’t quote me but I don’t think a GP is allowed to prescribe Tret. It would need to be a dermatologist. But as it’s used for vanity reasons rather than health reasons, a GP would not give you a dermatology referral as the NHS don’t have the budget to pay for vanity related services. You can book with a private dermatologist or if you get botox or filler, ask the person that does it for you. If they have a certain level of qualifications, they are able to give you a prescription. More often than not, they’ll know someone who can (the person they buy their botox and filler from). This way you can bypass the price of a dermatologist appointment and just pay for the tret. If only we could message eachother on here like before. I can get tret easily. I’d happily post you some for the price of the tret and postage costs. If you need help choosing a dermatologist, check out the insta profile of Dr Anjali Mahto. She is a genuine dermatologist who gives advice, rather than an influencer type of person. She always mentions websites to research dermatologists and how to check if they are genuine consultants or if they’ve just done a little college course and portray themselves as a skin expert. Any questions on tret, feel free to ask. I’ve used it on and off for 6 years. Influencers like Ashleigh don’t give advice or links on it as it’s illegal to make money as an influencer when it comes to prescription products. They’re all on it but pretend that it’s products from high street brands that give them their glass skin ‘cause they make money when people click on those links . MediK8 etc do great retinol based products but absolutely nothing compares to the prescribed real deal.Girls, sorry silly question. How do you get Tretinoin? Do you just need to ask your GP for it? Do they always approve it (as long as you’re 18)?
Her eyebrows practically being black while having blonde hair is such and ick.

I see a lot of people mention the Dennis Gross pads. Girls and boys, it’s literally a wipe with acids in. Glycolic and salicylic acid isn’t a groundbreaking expensive ingredient to make. Just buy a bottle of the stuff. It will last you ages (DG charging £21 for 5 pads is absolutely wild). It doesn’t need to be stabilised like Vit C so it doesn’t matter if it’s exposed to oxygen. Having it in a liquid bottle form isn’t any better or worse than in an enclosed wipe packet. Paula’s Choice salicylic acid and The Ordinary’s glycolic acid are in great formulas and way cheaper. Attached a photo of just some of the stuff I use to show I’ll happily spend £80 on prescription strength stuff but when it comes to acids and moisturisers, you don’t need to spend money on them as their ingredients are so cheap to make and moisturiser is just a protective film to stop moisture escaping your skin. Side note, Cerave’s body lotion is my daily moisturiser for my face (as advised by a private dermatologist I saw), it has great ceramides and hyaluronic acid in, so I’d never spend £50+ on a small jar of moisturiser from a boujee brand (bear in mind my skin is oily, not dry). But of course, everyone has the odd product they like purely for the packaging and aesthetics (I’m guilt of this). But yeah, just wanted to mention it in case anyone who can’t afford the DG pads feel like they’re missing out. My PC’s salicylic will last a year, I use it without a cotton pad, just swipe it across my face with my fingers once a week. No point in letting a cotton pad soak up your product .

I think they’re amazing xso I got the DG pads delivered today and I’ve only tried one but I can feel a difference straight away. Il keep everyone updated with how I get on but I’ve tried the stuff in bottles and I never feel like it does anything? I used the pad and my husband said to me your skin looks really clean lol
Did you go for the regular or extra strength ones?so I got the DG pads delivered today and I’ve only tried one but I can feel a difference straight away. What castor oil did you use? The one in green packaging? I used revitalash for ages which really grew my lashes then ironically on Ashleigh’s recommendation used the NYK1 one off amazon which I saw no difference in. Think she was just finding anything on amazon to rave about so she can earn money off it. I do keep reading that most have ingredients in that are bad but they wouldn’t be FDA approved if they were dangerous so I kept buying it but willing to try castor oil. Loove Murad SPFs . If my skin wasn’t so oily I’d defo try the magic cream. People rave about it under makeup.I’ve had The Ordinary GA and thought it was tit. I don’t rate any of their products personally.
Paula’s choice BHA is good though, I found the Dennis Gross wipes better than any I’ve tried.
It’s the same with anything, you can buy cheap or expensive, but use what works for you and is in your budget.
The only cerave products I’ve liked are the oil cleanser and the SA body and face creams.
Wouldn’t touch revitalash. Occasionally use Jamaican black castor oil on my brows but my lashes are really long so don’t bother on lashes.
I’m a skincare junkie, Korean products are amazing, I love innisfree, cosrx, beauty of joeseon, Sulwhasoo, mediheal, but I also rate Murad, Elemis, drunk elephant, glow receipe, even Charlotte Tilbury magic cream but don’t get it in your eyes it kills. Some simple products are good!

I’ve seen things about it changing your eye colour and stuffIs revitalash bad?
It contains a small amount of an ingredient which can change your eye colour after VERY long term use. It has a ingredient also used in Latisse which also contains bimatoprost and has the same side effect but it’s more concentrated. Latisse also can make you lose fat around your eye though but it’s amazing at growing your lashes. Just don’t use it for a long time if you google and buy it xI’ve seen things about it changing your eye colour and stuff
