Ashley James #6 Ageing like a fine wine? More like a cosmetic surgery cocktail.

We have got the one she has got and my 3.5 year old still sits RF happily. She has her iPad still on the headrest and mirror so I can see her and chat. Occasionally she has a whinge about wanting to face forward, and I say no. Luckily for us she doesn’t get travel sick though. Looking forward...

I see that she has still bought into the patriarchy by giving Alf his dad’s surname, rather than James. Traditionally a child is given their mother’s surname at birth - it just so happens that most were married so it was the same as the father.

I bet she is one of those people who thinks that common law marriage is a thing. People can get married in 15 mins for a couple of hundred quid (we did) because it was easier to do that, than set up all of the legal and financial protections that marriage offers.

In her privileged position, maybe she is better not getting married. But the average woman watching her stories whose career opportunities and earning power are significantly impacted through caring responsibilities, they would be better off getting married, for security, for love, for whatever.

I’ve always found this so odd too considering her apparent views! James could have easily been given as a middle name as well.

What on earth is she going on about? I just live in the present but here I am overanlysing everything about the future. She seems quite insecure in her relationship with T to go on about them not being toghter in the future so much.

She very much lives in the past considering how much she goes on about her single days (single for 6 years don’t you know) her big boobs as a teenager, best times of her life in the ‘littke pink flat’ solo travelling etc etc

Yes she definitely has and has asked that exact question, both not so long ago. She then posted responses and gave her opinion on the response (of course!)
Same sh*t different day.

She’s someone who has an ‘opinion’ on everything, but she genuinely doesn’t feel that way half the time, it’s just for a reaction and to be controversial. She will 100% get married, and will post for the next 10 years how she was just as complete not married. YES BUT NO ONE CARES BUT YOU! Get married or don’t, people genuinely don’t give it this much thought.

For me it has to be the absolute corker that inspired this thread title: that she’s tOo bOnEy to give her child a cuddle to put him to bed 🥴 , come on now Ashley! “Poor Alf” will always be the most common used phrase on this thread 😞
