Khaleeji men do not grow up thinking that women are dirty, what kind of idea is that? Why would they want to marry the same women that they believe are “dirty”? That seems to be something that your Saudi friend and the people around him grew up hearing, but that isn’t a common sentiment.
The thing is that everything is segregated; schools, gatherings, weddings, diwanyas or jalsat, mosques. Even the restaurants in Saudi were segregated up until recently. Because of that they are always surrounded by members of their own sex, they were the only options. That’s why a lot of men experimented with each other, and a lot of women experimented with each other. Some people are gay, which is normal, but a lot of people were looking for a sexual outlet. Unfortunately, that leads to a lot of sexual abuse within extended families and rape in public schools. I’ve heard many stories about sexual assaults happening in all girls schools. However, I was in a mixed private school so homosexuality was not common at all. There were a few but overall much less than public schools. I think bisexuality is super common though.
By dirty I don’t mean gross. I should’ve worded it better. What I meant was impure. If your Muslim, you’ll understand what I mean by impure.

I understand what you mean by impure, but I doubt that men who engage in anal sex with other men do that because they care about purity culture. It’s all a farce to justify their behavior. Either why they are committing a sin in the eyes of Islam.

Side note: Interestingly, in the Middle East and South Asia homosexuality was super common even during Islamic civilizations. It was only after the Ottoman Empire dissolved in the ME and British colonialism happened in India that homosexuality became super taboo. Desiring Arabs by Joseph Mossad is a super insightful read if you’re interested in the history of homosexuality in the Middle East.

I googled Joseph Massad an intersting smart person. I will see if i can get the book sounds very promising.

What percentage of arab men are gay ? It seems like a high percentage is gay but then again I’ve heard that childhood sexual abuse ( from men) is rampant in khaleeje communities ( especially Saudi Arabia) & that these man grow up without healing from the sexual abuse they faced. My Saudi friend told me that they have very weird views on women ( they believe women are dirty etc which arise from very distorted understanding of Islam) so they end up just sleeping with other man or young boys until they get married.

Same with the girls. She said during school the female teachers would also sexually touch the girls. This was girls only school btw.
I don’t know if I believe all that. Again I’m married into a Saudi family and have many wonderful Saudi friends as well, and none of them had that upbringing or mentality. I’ve heard stories don’t get me wrong, but I’ve heard the same stories from other Khaleejis like Omani’s, Kuwaiti’s and especially Emirati’s. I don’t know of one Saudi thinking that women are impure. Now my husband’s family is bedouin originally from Qassim and none of our family or friends that I know of have these ideas. The girls are a little different. I’ve heard personally of many girls exploring their sexuality. It’s like a short phase though, many grow out of it. I think it’s because they were so sexually repressed, they needed another outlet

Btw did you guys all see that Noha Nabil is having another boy mA. Am happy for her. I don’t know much about her but she seems like a sweet and nice lady

Homosexuality in the past was understood very differently than now. People back then didn’t identify as “homosexual”. They didn’t revolve their entire personality around it. It was no more than an act.
I really don’t understand why people like to say that homosexuality was common in the past in Islamic societies to justify the current practices. Just because it occurred in the past shouldn’t mean it should occur now as well. As Muslims, shouldn’t we do our best to eject anything that goes against Allahs orders.
PS. Really don’t understand why man ( Muslim, I don’t care about the others) who do these practices secretly are made fun off & told to come out of the closet. Them doing it in secret shows that they still are conscious of god & you never know they might stop doing it.
PSS. I also believe that social media is also responsible for ingraining these practices into both men and women ( not all but most) & that they aren’t innate. Just like how women are developing body/image disorders due to Instagram.

I met Noha Nabil last summer. If u see her in person you won't reconize her as she is very very petite and gets lost in the crowd cuz she is a shorty . Her face is beautiful Mashallah. Am not sure if she is really that nice as she seems. I heard from my friends who's Half Egyptian/Bahraini that she doesn't like to mention her father is Egyptian. Asif it's bad thing. No offence but being from Gulf region doesn't make u better than any other Arab.

Lol unfortunately some khaleejis do believe they are better than anyone else.

In their view they are the real Arabs, the ones in Syria and Lebanese are not so real and the ones in North Africa are not even considered Arabs.

Not all Khaleejis are the same, but some have a superiority complex.

The men also have a Madonna bleep complex - they fulfill their dirty fantasies with foreigners because their local is someone "who ought to be decent and the mother of his kids."

Sorry not all are 100% Arabs they have big mix of South East Asia look at the skin complex and features. Every word u said is 100% right.
Btw my father comes from a big famous bedouin tribe in Jordan thus 100% true Arabs.

Btw does anyone know Lebanese/ Brazilian influencer and make-up artist Habiba DaSilva?? I love her she is so sweet pretty and humble. She is a hijabi but in a fun way.
She talks about healthy she mainly cooks Brazilian food.
She litteraly talks about all taboes and stuggles that we Muslim women have to face in our daily lives.
Unlike all the Arab influencer this one is real! 💚

That decent that they end up being divorced too soon. I don’t even understand them, men and women act they are something they’re really not. Yet we are all “decent” if we also don’t share our secrets and things we did as they do.

What are you talking about? Most Arabs are super racist, even towards each other so it's hard to believe they marry outsiders. Maybe in the gulf some Arabs impregnate their Filipina workers but outside of that I hardly see Southeast Asians mix with Arabs especially if they're non-Muslim..

Here's some pictures of Effinna unedited. You can just ignore if you don't want to see but I wanted to post them somewhere lol.
