If this trip to Melbourne doesn’t prove everything in Annie’s life is selective placement and toxic positivity even when something is obviously abnormal, then nothing will.
The fact that you can be in a relationship but can’t proudly post the other person without being a blurred figure in a background and even more oddly not just enjoy a plane ride, a meal, a game without a phone in your hand, posting solo content with inferred company is absolutely devastating.. and Annie must know it and feel it. All the scammed dollars in the world can’t override that sense of loneliness she must feel in her gut. Damn.
