Sorry I feel like I sound like a broken record on this but the thing that frustrates me so much about these younger influencers/youtubers (and some older) is the "people only care when I make mistakes and take me up for them because I'm in this position" it's like........yeah OBVIOUSLY!! you're choosing to be in that position, you willingly and narcissistically make these posts and videos and share your life with others in the hope of fame and/or people to view them so why do you then get upset when people you don't know comment on it? I'm not talking about mindless trolling about appearance or lifestyle but when someone makes 'a mistake', of course it's going to be picked up more because you share those mistakes with the world instead of a select few people. Social anxiety is horrible and has wrecked my life in the past so I feel for her because that is never a nice feeling, but I feel like she would never do what is right for her and retreat from the spotlight.
And like someone else said, you would get pulled up for mistakes in real life. They just think they're on such a pedestal, feeling emotions we normal people can't feel because we don't know what it's like to put our lives online as if there's a gun to their head to do it. Cry me a river haha

Rant over, sorry ;)

I agree with this. On one hand, I do feel bad for her and others that people comment stuff about their appearance etc on their posts. There’s definitely a line that I personally don’t cross and I have typed stuff and then deleted it before on here. But I totally acknowledge that I’m complicit by being part of this thread.

I also can’t speak from experience and I’m sure if we became influencers ourselves we would end up feeling the same way about trolling as Ana.

BUT I also think that it is part of the job now. When I got an office job I didn’t go to the manager and say “I didn’t ASK to be seated next to this guy with B.O. and to keep having to complain about the state of the toilets”. Every job has its pitfalls and that is one that comes with being a YouTuber. The job relies on engagement with people, good or bad. It just means that she has to find a way to do her job and manage the criticism. Like her or not, Zoella took action when the criticism got too much and stopped using Twitter. Whether her critics think that was a cop out doesn’t really matter because the point is she’s managed to find a way to pretend the criticism isn’t there and then acknowledging it when she has to (E.g. the screaming stuff).

Anyway I’ve gone off on a tangent, sorry.

The nails 🤢🤢 Syd from syd and ell got very similar ones yesterday ....

the quality of these are SO poor, you can see how thick the nail tech has let them be. these should have been filed down on top
also the next pic on her story, why does she all of a sudden think these low quality, blurry pics are good???
she must think she's so edgy posting them with her "new fashion sense" and tit grabbing profile pic

I just watch Simplynessa doing a video on “testing subscribers small businesses” - what a sweet, non performative, unique video. Remember when Ana reposted people’s businesses on her story? Well like that but with effort, investing time and her own actual money into them. Nessa also did a segment on the importance of voting. If Ana copies this I’m just saying... hey girl.
