Bangor is definitely family friendly but it is working class/lower middle class so not expensive by Sydney standards.

It is miles away from the city, equivalent to Joonadulp or Mandurah for the Perth folk.
Or Burpengary for the Brisbane folk

Im still really disappointed that Amy was able to get away Scott free with her racist posts and comments over the years, so it’s ok to just delete them all and move on, she deserved to be cancelled.

Bangor to Sydney CBD is literally under 40KLM?! its takes you 45-60 Minutes.

Yes, its a shittip (Sorry for anyone that lives there) but its not in the middle of nowhere.
Yeah I think a sydneysider’s concept of distance is so different to others. I’ve lived in Sydney and it’s minimum 30min to get anywhere. And that’s considered a short trip. But once you leave Sydney people can’t cope with more than ten minutes to get anywhere 😂

Trying to think of a Melbourne equivalent for this place and I’m coming up with Truganina or Craigieburn which are both rather grim, no offence to anyone who lives there! If anyone has a better example please let me know.
I’m also so dismayed to see this POS and her cronies get away with their disgusting racism 😡

She lives in a very white, middle of nowhere suburb and seems to be born and bred there. I’m not excusing the racism but I’m not surprised.

Granted I’m a bit younger than her, but I grew up in a regional area where there were only 5 non-white students at my high school that had well over 1000 students and racist behaviour was absolutely not the norm! I think it’s more due to the fact that her family are racists than where she grew up.

I don’t think so. I lived in Sydney most of my life but have been in a Melbourne 7 years. Bangor is leafy and green and I think quite nice? Probably it’s becoming more so as people are forced further out. Truganina is industrial, concrete jungle. The problem with Bangor IMO is it’s getting perilously close to the dodgy south west.

i reckon Mount Eliza could be a good comparison, bordering Frankston but still quite nice 🤔

I’m not familiar with the area, but my friends in Sydney have all paid over a million for houses that need to be knocked down, so it doesn’t seem that outrageous? Maybe they live in nicer areas, but I thought they were all still a fair way out 🤷🏻‍♀
(I guess I also don’t know anyone that’s bought recently and maybe it’s slightly less crazy)

Sydney is mad. I don’t think people realise how expensive it is now.
