I literally hate the elf on the shelf concept! And threatening kids with santa. This is disgusting. Who is threatening their toddler with this. Toddlers are growing, they are not 'bad'.
Are poor people who get no gifts, bad? Are muslims bad because santa doesn't visit them? And asda is a great girl because she will get a mountain of gifts. As someone who was bullied in school because of this (i only got a satsuma in my stocking because we were poor), this is disgusting. Such a toxic lesson to be teaching your child. Some parents get so wrapped up in this christmas 'magic' they just throw good parenting out of the window.

Daddy always gets the expensive advent calendar………. Probably used to have one more than one of everything for her entire life.Tbh it's probs just a food baby but looks like she's got a bump in her latest post.
Dunno why its been bugging me but she posted a story saying how she didn't want an advent calendar so her mum just got her expensive chocs instead.. thought this was weird to even post and tell us and then the following few days posted stories with two different expensive advent calendars.
I honestly thought she'd be smarter than that!!Aster is forward facing in a car seat?!?! I thought that wasn't legal until 2 years old? In some states in America it isn't legal until 4! Scandinavia people do it until 6!! You are literally increasing your child's chances of death by 500%. The car accident wouldn't even need to be bad. Their rib cage just isn't properly formed yet. I'm sure Amelia thinks Aster is so big and advanced. But she is like 17 monthhs. if 4 year olds do it to be safe. then Aster can. When their legs get too long they can cross them (better a broken leg than internal damage). Sorry but it's neglect. Putting your child in increased danger. This is insane. Where I live the parent could literally be arrested for this.
The bones running down a young child's neck and back are not yet solid bone (they still have a lot of stretchy cartilage). A young child's head is also much heavier, in proportion to the body, than that of an older child or adult. So the head pulls forward with proportionately much more force on bones that are stretchier.
As the bones stretch, they can force the spinal cord to stretch. After it is stretched more than one-quarter of an inch, the spinal cord breaks. Riding in a rear-facing car seat helps reduce that risk by supporting the child's head.
Sadly in the UK rear facing is only a legal requirement until 15 months so it’s not against the law to forward face before 2 years. A lot of parents don’t research it at all and have their children forward facing asap which is ridiculous, hopefully the law will change here soon.Aster is forward facing in a car seat?!?! No I know that Joie seat. The 360 ones have a massive base anyway. They are amazing, so easy to get the child in and out. My guess is Amelia read the minimum weight for forward facing and took that as the green light to go! But the minimum weight is very different from the safest weight. (which is actually less about weight and more about age, because it is about bone density).I honestly thought she'd be smarter than that!!
Is is possibly one of them that swivels? I don't have kids so not sure.
I'm sure she will have got plenty of DMs about it though
This is a major problem with mums who see their daughter as their best friend. They see them as a lot older and more mature as they really are. Their little buddy who wants to face the same way as mummy to be grown up. Amelia is forgetting she is the parent. Number 1 is their safety. Aster is 1 years old. She is far far too young to be facing forward. There are now car seats being made for 6 year olds to be in extended rear facing. Far older than AsterSadly in the UK rear facing is only a legal requirement until 15 months so it’s not against the law to forward face before 2 years.
