You're right about being an addiction. It's really sad.
So I followed Ashlie and unfollowed after it was evident that she thrived on people's sympathy towards her. She did a story about how she's living the best life, and literally the next day, posted about how she's taking a break from IG because of her mental/health issues
and then a week later, she was back. If she was really struggling with depression and other mental issues, then why not just stay offline permanently? I think she just got jealous that Chris had his own thing going with Twitch and other stuff, and started bashing him to make herself feel better.
Circling back to Mondo though, biggest mistake he made was bringing the mysterybae into the picture. She's so annoying! She overshares things and she just puts their relationship out there, which is definitely a big no no when he has the kind of following that he has. I can imagine how awkward it will be if they breakup, and it's not like he could just stop including her in posts and Livestreams without people wanting to know the details. Just like with the duoo, I was shocked when they broke up, because you'd never think their relationship was on the rocks based on their posts. No relationship is private once you allow everyone in.
I remember Mondo's early years, where it was just him having fun at Disneyland, no asking for likes, subscriptions, and those were enjoyable to watch.
