Edited to add: oooh, I scrolled down her Instagram and can see she’s got naturally curly hair (me too). She needs to start looking after it properly. You can tell she fries it out with heat tools. It will break off soon if she isn’t careful.

I really sympathise with her on the hair front. Various hormone things and a baby have made my hair go from actual lion's mane to... well, looking a lot like Alice's I guess (just longer and more frizzy). I have tried everything and there is absolutely nothing I can do which will make it look good! So yeah, solidarity with Alice on this one. Having tit hair sucks.

That’s rubbish for you, and I’m sorry. I went through a very similar thing and lost about 1/3 of my hair due to hormones. It took an insane amount of work to get it back to health, involving all kinds of things (supplements, change in diet, specialist hairdresser, CGM etc).

I really think Alice’s main problem is that she has naturally curly hair and she’s blow drying and straightening the tit out of it, though. That will kill anyone’s hair, whether it’s thinned out post partum/from hormonal issues, or not. If she just stopped doing that and got some decent deep conditioning going it would improve a lot, and doing CGM and other more complicated things would help even more (clearly this is a hill I will die on 😂)

Yeah, I've stayed away from heat for most of the last year and it's really helped the general condition of my hair. Its natural texture is still weird and wavy and frizzy (curls in some places and almost straight in others?!) so it still looks daft most of the time, but at least it's healthy and daft, not fried 😂 I just shove it up in a bun and get on with my day now. Kind of dreading rejoining real life because I'll have to make some sort of effort with it again.

The glasses make her look like a young-looking 50-something, it's bizarre.

Yes it’s the Curly Girl Method. The basic principles are avoiding parabens and sillicones and only using sulphates sparingly, which most hair types could benefit from. Anyone with dry hair should look into the ingredients side of the method.

Overall it’s a lot more complicated than that and involves a lot of rules and styling techniques specifically for curly hair.

He is... not much of a looker. I mean, looks aren’t everything of course, but not what I expected at all. Also, his Insta name includes “89”?? So he’s a bit younger?

Hmm. Someone put me right and tell me it’s not the boyfriend she bloody went and bought a dog with!!

That looks like a paid for article that bloggers are given pre-written to put on their sites. It's hard to describe but isn't really to get people to visit the site being advertised but more to boost the advertisers google ranking through SEO. The more sites which link to yours the more google sees you as an authority - so the site is ranked higher.

I'm sure that is the case as the style of the article isn't very Alice at all.
