Yeah JJ wants to be the "good guy" himself and not rip her a new one. I think IG realises this will never end soon or at all and that's why he looked depressed. Alice will keep getting away with her shit. Even if they went after her for the DVRO breach she would probably use it to delay things even more.

He should never have married the cunt.

Ioan should start using stuff he has not used so far. As it will never end anyway -- Andrea hinted that Alice likely will do something to delay it. And it requires Alice's deposition. If she refuses and Ioan gets a court order, it also may stay the February date.

So, perhaps now, when Alice has a Gavron warning (btw, Andrea mentioned that being sworn in like Alice was just to confirm she heard the warning and understands it, is actually very rare. It clearly shows that JJ does not trust her at all), more and more of the wider public knows the real story and empathises with him and the kids are lost to Ioan anyway (for now), his hands could be untied and gloves taken off: he could demand regular drug testing and alcohol testing for Alice and also do everything he can to facilitate bringing criminal charges against her. Her place is in jail. And it would be better for the girls to be free of her suffocating them. And no visits for some time. Perhaps arrangement could be made that someone among Ioan's friends would foster them until the restarted unification therapy proves successful without Abusers interference and girls will be on the path of healing and will start to get their life without coercion and control.
There will be no end to the abuse otherwise.
