That’s not what you look like, Alex

Did anyone catch this video of Alex - paid promotion for La Mer?

Her face looks even weirder than usual because the filters are doing something extra strange
This is SO far to removed from what any human being looks like in person never mind what Alex herself looks like

I mean, seriously?! Be for f**king real ALEX

and it’s outrageously unethical that this is a PAID ad for La Mer. Using an INSANELY filtered image of her face. This is not the 49 year old influencer we see to our left below. It just shouldn’t be legal to do this.

The filters have made her look like a Pre-Raphaelite painting of a milk-fed maiden. All she needs is a meadow to frolic in or a garden to waft around.

I don’t think it is. Report her to the asa - I have sent in so many there’s no point me doing any more as I think they ignore me! I don’t even get a reply.

I have reported it, clicked the Digitally created or altered tab, dont know if they do anything but makes me feel better for doing something.

She should be banned from social media, what a fraud.

I didn’t know you could report for “digitally created or altered” but I’ve reported it for that too
I want to write formal complaint emails to the brands who pay her. It’s not right she profits from presenting a fake facial aesthetic .

Exactly. And people / brands ARENT BLIND. If they’ve seen her in real life they know this is not what she looks like. The brands are part of the problem because they are driven by sales and greed and very few seem to give an actual tit about what these influencers do to their faces to sell their products. It’s appalling.
I’ve reported her loads of times and nothing happens and SHE ( along with thousands of others) know that nothing happens so they continue.
That woman that did the #filterdrop campaign did it with Lorna luxe ( I’m over there most of the time). LL is a shocker for filters and altering her size and made a mockery of the whole thing, but brands don’t care. And Instagram certainly doesn’t.

Yes. Depressingly, it sure seems like Alex can deceive and profit off a fake image without consequence.

I so wish some bold, gutsy journalist would do an exposé on Alex and her shameless face editing in a major publication.

Meanwhile, it feels like 80% of Alex’s content these days is just videos of her applying blush in an exaggerated cutesy manner whilst pouting in that “God damn, I’m so beautiful” way.
