Aldi & Lidl #7

1
I've been shopping in Aldi since it opened about 10 years ago and NO ONE has ever spoken to me apart from hello and thank you. I got to the till and the bloke said busy day? Do you like gardening? any hobbies, do your family live local? I hope this isn't a regular thing I just want my shopping thrown at me and to get out 🤣

That's the opposite where I live. Lidl staff are awful (sometimes rude) and the Aldi staff are super friendly and helpful.

yeah I think you’ve been hoodwinked for the past 10 years - can’t shut them up in aldi. They must’ve had a secret shopper in and been scolded for being the least friendly branch - you’re going to have to pretend to like people if you want to carry on shopping there 😂

Do you shop at my aldi? - there’s a guy there that chats like this to everyone . I love it 😂😂

I am not usually a sandwich shop buyer but last week I was in Liverpool with a friend who is - I bought a New York Deli Pastrami on Rye, think it was near to £4 from M and S and it was OK.
Today I was with same friend and looked at the sandwich selection in Aldi and decided to buy the - Ayshire Cured Ham Hock with Farmhouse Cheddar and quite honestly knocked the M & S into a cocked hat. Same price, much better bread and so tasty..

Aldi sandwiches are pretty decent for the price. I very rarely buy them though as it’s not easy to nip in aldi like it is a garage or little tesco/Co-Op etc

Brought the tropical essence shampoo as smelled nice & OH uses cheapy ones. Thought I’d try it out tonight and it didn’t lather at all (2 attempts). Dried my hair and it’s more greasy than before!

Glad it wasn't just me! Smells lush, and I can get a lather (maybe using I'm using too much?) but my hair definitely looks more greasy too, I'm gutted

Got the burger relish (the gherkin one ..) in my Aldi today reduced to 9p a jar! Good until 2025, what a bargain!

Had a lovely tea of fish, chips and mushy peas courtesy of Aldi.
Miles better than what I've had from the chip shop and I wasn't left with stomach ache and feeling slightly sick, so a win win all round. 😋😁

I was looking at their frozen battered extra nice fish in the freezer the other day when my bestie drove me to Aldi (lidl is our local). It looked very nice.

We've also planned a trip to a new big Aldi in the next town next week and are both stupidly excited. 😂
