So the house was purchased in 98 so that mortgage should be paid off. But she says they are moving to lower mortgage costs. What’s the betting they remortgaged to buy that DVC contract? Plus the “studio” (hoarders den) Baffling. Why not just have no mortgage and book a holiday to Florida once you’ve saved up for it 🤷🏻‍♀️

To me locking yourself into a commitment like that is madness and the pandemic showed us exactly why, they weren't able to visit so therefore the points mount up and then expire if not used, crazy. There are so many fab places to stay off site that are nicer and for a lot less money but why anyone would want to tie themselves into something like that boggles me. Each to their own but I prefer to more space than a hotel room.

Yeah DVC rooms can be very pokey. We have rented points in the past, stayed in regular Disney hotel rooms and offsite and there are good and not so good parts to all options. I also don’t get the attraction of DVC but it works for some people and good for them. Obviously if you’re moving house so you can continue to go to Orlando, it does not work for you.
 
I’m dvc and kinda in the same position as them, we still have a mortgage as we have extended our house but we didn’t remortgage to buy dvc and we bought when it was nearly $2 to the pound. We don’t always use our points as we like to travel other places and we have used our points in rci exchange for hotel rooms across America and the world (not Disney) so they aren’t ‘locked’ into Disney as some believe, they choose to be. For the last few years we have rented ours out. The cash from rental covers our dues and leaves us with money, a good amount too so I can’t see why they are taking the risky move of selling up. I do think you get to a point in life where you want to take your foot of the gas as I’m similar age to them
With regard to selling dvc it’s not straight forward as some think as a uk resident, plus it’s the losses as the contract is a lease of 50 years which decreases. If I was now to sell we’d actually make money as we bought at the right time when the exchange was brilliant they probably wouldn’t
They have sold themselves an impossible dream and want to keep up with the caravan twats and dalimore by being out there three four times a years. That’s not sustainable with their incomes even if they sell their house and pocket some cash. I honestly think they see themselves as moving to full time vloggers too, it’ll never work with her as her voice and vocabulary just crates and she’s pretty vicious and venomous. This was apparent with her sister

Works from home (even pre-Covid), something to do with IT. One had to go to an in-person meeting and had to buy new shirts for it and honestly, he looked like Barney Rubble.

Must pay alright to support all Lisa’s faffing about with paper and the many vacations, not to mention one kid at uni (though he does have a dad).

I don't hate these 2 as I've not seen lots of their vlogs but I do find her voice grating.

One thing that did annoy me in their recent travel vlog was the confession that they both suffer with travel anxiety. I have seen some of their travel days before & I'm sure this wasn't mentioned. Is she just jumping on the anxiety bandwagon? Amazing how many vloggers suffer with anxiety & low self esteem 🙄 Don't most people get anxious going on holiday though? Of course it's exciting but also there are a number of unknowns making the average person a bit anxious. But for vloggers it seems to be a big thing 😴
 
It all started with Get Binky rubbing ice cubes in his hands to show how nervous he is about flying by showing his sweaty (wet) palms.
He obviously films it all to raise awareness and to help other nervous flyers and definitely NOT to gain views and boost his own profile.
I've known people with a genuine fear of flying who are literally paralysed with fear before a flight not swanning around buying aftershave without a care in the world talking in to a camera.
The Dad from the Burgess Family played the same card and got a feee bump in to Premium Economy with his Mrs leaving the kids in economy. Fake scumbags the lot of them.

Burgesses went to upper I believe
I’m terrified of flying and I mean terrified. Extremely sensible and rational but put me on a plane and I’m the most irrational human around. I don’t ever let it beat me but it’s physically and mentally drains me getting through a flight. I have done fear of flying courses etc but I’m still as sanctions as ever
My palms don’t sweat ever and I certainly wouldn’t be filming myself, my only thought is how I’m going to get through it and the possible outcomes. It’s a constant wrestle with my rational and irrational thoughts. I love to travel and for my kids to experience it too. Fear is taught and I know it’s me head. My legs shake uncontrollably and I can’t stop it, my breathing is effected, can’t sit near a window and I don’t drink on board. Get binky is an absolute fraud it’s all for show to justify the lanyard abit more and support his dla claim

I’m the same but something that helps me is playing really loud music on noise cancelling headphones. Although a doctor me this is not normal 🤣
