The part that annoyed me was them going all the way to the Bahamas, and refusing to get off the boat for more than a couple of hours. There are a thousand things to do at Nassau. Shopping, local food, snorkeling, beaches, wildlife, history etc. There seem to be a lot of activities on Castaway Cay too. Heaven forbid they film anything more interesting than cooing over the carpeting on a tacky floating hotel. He used to do a little more. Now it’s just the same thing every time, but less of it.

Just back from my own hols and catching up on blogs. Where does he go from here? Upper class - check. The new ship - check. Grand Floridian - check. Club level - check. DVC - check. The whole vlogger wish list checked off for both of them. How many more times will people tune in to watch them do the same thing? Surely they must be riding the wheels off (and the views on the cruise days are lower than I expected) unless they go to Hawaii/Alaska/the Asian parks? Granted I’m jet lagged but I fell asleep during the Nassau vlog and during the Castaway Cay vlog. I think the Grand Flo vlog kept me awake because it is exciting to see someone get robbed before your eyes.
A grand a night, or close to it, for THAT outdated, blah room and a few cheap snacks?!? I like the Disney hotels, I think they are all well done with great theming outside but none of them are true deluxe hotels. The best part of the GF are the parts open to the public, the rooms are so underwhelming for the utterly obscene cost which goes from $660 to $1499 per night for random dates over the next few months.

Edited to say I don’t buy the “writeoff” argument either. These vacations are not cheap and I don’t see how he could deduct these without issue based on what we know about his business - sells a few candles and shirts and self printed books. Although if he has found a way or if anyone thinks it would be feasible - shout - I have a dozen test stores for work purposes and a trip I’d love to write off lol!

I was equally surprised about Grand Floridian. The grounds and views are stunning, loved the snack area etc but the room did seem quite dated for the cost. I could tell by their faces the review was a little extra.

We were on the same flight to Orlando with them Gary C was looking around desperate for someone to notice him - why does he claim benefits again? Adam has an arse the size of a small country
Hah! They did the same thing last December. Twattan and his dumb mate constantly walking around trying to be noticed. No one gave a flying duck who they were. They were also clearly getting on the crews nerves.

They don't really like doing anything exciting or interesting, I complained about the last cruise they went on, it was a glorious day at Castaway Cay and those two clowns just came back to the room and watched Mary Poppins Returns for the 14th time in the middle of the afternoon.

Can you imagine anything more depressing? Vlogging can be a profession for some people, doing a professional job on reporting on all aspects of various vacations but for Twattan it's just a hobby he wants people to pay him for.

So many vloggers don’t seem to be able to handle any experience unless it’s on rails. How many times have we seen Gary fall apart if something doesn’t go even just slightly according to plan?

🤤

I agree. Thing is with real luxury travel vloggers it's a very different style to Adam point and shoot and act up for the camera style. Also I'd imagine many luxury travel viewers won't class disney as luxury.

I don’t think Disney classed themselves as luxury until they kept inching up the price and people kept coming at a grand a night and then they couldn’t keep up hence the meh rooms that cost a months mortgage or more for one night! For sure actual luxury travellers would be in the Four Seasons rather then Disney.

I love the escapism of the vlogs. I love a glimpse into first class and the deluxes etc I also watch luxury travel expert to see all the overwater bungalows I’ll never stay in! But I do wish all the vlogggers wouldn’t jump on the more more more bandwagon. Where does Adam go next - a private jet?! Lol I know I can turn them off but it’s hard to find a vlogger now who doesn’t get more lavish with each trip. I’m back from a lovely trip to Vancouver and Seattle but wow is it pricey over there now. I live in an EU country and the Euro is at parity. I genuinely don’t know how they do it and as much as I enjoyed the trip I can’t imagine coming home and booking again immediatelyto go to back in a few months - or weeks as many of them do! It would physically hurt to hand over my card again. Seeing a more modest trip is just as entertaining and can provide the same feel good escapism imo. They don’t all have to feed us the most expensive options.

Also I burn like a lobster in the sun so I understand the value of a midday break or a spot in the shade but my heart hurt when they left that picture perfect Castaway Cay in glorious weather and went back to the room! It’s such a lovely place. How jaded do you have to be to prefer the telly or a restaurant with no windows!

For you, I'm sorry.

For me, buying plane tickets to hop around the Schengen Area next summer is a dream.

A way to recognize good service, beyond just the included gratuities.

I’ve heard before if you’re going to give a gift, they’re most appreciative of phone cards, since it gives them the ability to call home.

I saw an American gifting the concierge at our hotel in Vancouver with a huge box of chocolates and a small gift bag with something else. No idea what she had done for them - to them it was a gesture of appreciation. To me it was uncomfortable to even watch it unfold. I’ll tip but gifts are something I cannot bring myself to do. I get hives thinking about giving or receiving a gift like that. I find it all very vulgar because it’s so outside the cultures I’ve lived in.

I also wouldn’t eat anything given to me by a customer/passenger - am I too paranoid? lol

I don't see anything wrong with that tbh, hotel staff (especially concierge) can make miracles at times haha.

But air crew, great as they are generally just do their job without going above and beyond.

Also I assume no vlog this Sunday as its the day before the funeral. If he does put one up then it will shoe the cancellation of last week's was just BS

I was talking about his habit of giving presents to airline crew.

It's not insane that people are sad/mourning. It does amaze/amuse me how many Americans seem to all of a sudden have an opinion on the queen and the UK monarchy, despite fighting a war hundreds of years ago to get rid of us lol no other monarchy seems to get the attention ours does worldwide. I also find it just as odd when you see Americans having flown over and in tears queuing to see the lying in state.

But back to Adam, are that much of his audience American anyway. Always thought most of his fanbase was british
