I'm torn because I like a binge watch so usually let them build up, but also scared of spoilers
same! i usually save to watch four or five at once but my twitter just goes mad as soon as the us episodes drop and itās so hard to try and avoid spoilers then (especially when iām on twitter already for rwrb reasons
)i am loving the pacing of the buck sl though, and the pure joy that oliver plays it with. heās an absolute golden retriever of a character and i wish he was real

also mark help me iāve fallen into the buddie side of twitter and now iām convinced itās going to happen
apparently the original show runner wanted to start building up to it in season 4 (after eddie got shot) but fox said no, but now theyāve moved networks and the original writer is back so everyone is freaking out. some of the choices in the last ep were deeply interesting to me from this pov!

I actually think it would be more refreshing for an alpha male like Eddie to accept his bi friend. That's a strong message, rather than a fan fiction style set up

i wonder why thereās been such a huge gap to new lone star compared to 911 - i wonder if they got affected by the strike as i assume thatās when they would have been filming

Yeah I wonder if they just wrote off last year and just starting as normal this autumn.
I'm curious to know what he would say if you asked him to talk dirty to you

i just cannot see it! i mean, i genuinely would like it because i think the actors would do a great job but i canāt see how they make it believable for eddie. if anything, i could only see it being one-sided from buck (and thatās because itās all tangled up with his abandonment issues anyway).
HOWEVER the actor who plays tommy, buckās current bf, said the storyline was meant to originally be him and EDDIE so like, are they planning on it?! i just think there isnāt enough time
plus eddie has been shown to run away from all his romantic relationships whenever they get too serious so it might not even last!

There's just never been any sign with Eddie, even on the friendship side it's more like big brother type friendship. It feels like it would be pandering to fan fiction.
It would be a much stronger message to have the alpha male be cool with his friend being bi. Plus men can be close without it being romantic/sexual. Again that's something that it would be postive to show. The fact so many have seen a close male friendship and assumed must be gay, is kind of problematic in itself.

it is interesting that viewers saw a really lovely and deep male friendship and assumed it must be romantic because why else would men be close friends?! i kinda donāt want those fans to get what they want. i know oliver is saying now that heās always played it as buck sorta being attracted to eddie in some kind of way but i donāt know if it goes deeper than that (i think he just loves the stability and genuine love eddie gives him!)
also, thatās what fanfiction is for. write about it if youāre into it, iāll read it, but donāt bug the actual actors and the show about it (like seems to happen a lot).
