Whilst Louise regularly shares pictures of Leo on Instagram, it didn’t feel right having a tattle gallery full of him so his face has been hidden when he appears in a post that is relevant to the wiki.

About
Louise Thompson (Louise Anne De Courcy Thompson)
Born 26th March 1990 (currently 32 years)
Primarily known for her appearance in reality TV show Made in Chelsea. Her brother Sam Thompson also appeared in Made in Chelsea.
Her partner is Ryan Libbey and they have a son, Leo-Hunter, born November 2021.
Relationships
Ryan Libbey. They first met in 2016 when Ryan gave her a personal training session. There is speculation that her relationship with Ryan overlapped with her previous partner, Alik Alfus.
Louise first posted about Ryan in February 2016:
They got engaged in LA on Ryan’s birthday in August 2018. Shortly after they had an exclusive with OK Magazine.
Just ten months later, in June 2019, it was announced that their Christmas wedding had been postponed/cancelled. The reasons given were they didn’t want to rush and have too much going on in their lives. Archive link - MailOnline. So far no new date has been set/made public.
Birth of Leo-Hunter
On 15th November 2021, Louise gave birth to their son Leo-Hunter Libbey.
What actually happened?
We don’t know.
The closest Louise has got is this Trotters Paid Partnership article from March 2023, where the following is mentioned:
birth included 4.5hr surgery which kept her in hospital for 7 days
Louise was discharged only to return 10 days later with a life threatening haemorrhage which led to a 3 week stay
complications included sepsis and pneumonia
PTSD set in one week after returning home
the trauma was so severe she was unable to function for 5 months
Neither Louise or Ryan posted anything on Instagram between 14th November and 23rd December and tattlers were beginning to get concerned. On 23rd December Louise finally shared her news about Leo’s birth on instagram.
Both Louise and Ryan have posted extensively about how the birth of Leo has affected them, and there’s been quite a lot of drip feeding from Louise, but neither have given details about what actually happened. Of course this is their right not to share, and nobody doubts there was a traumatic birth, however they use their trauma and baby Leo for paid ads and promotions. Many tattlers suspect the mystery of what happened and ongoing trauma is being monetised and used for insta-engagement and possibly a future book or magazine deal.
Tattlers are also noticing some inconsistencies with many of the things that have been said so believe there may be some exaggeration / dramatisation and maybe even pure lies, to keep people engaged. So this wiki has been created to provide a timeline to try and uncover the truth.
Reasons why Louise won't share what happened
Louise has occasionally given reasons why she’s not shared details yet - some directly to followers if they’ve questioned her.
“it’s not the right time and there is a chance that it will heavily traumatise people (including some expectant mothers that I know) so it’s not easy as just divulging details. I’ve shared with close friends and family and those who have asked…”
Note this one appeared at the start of an own brand ad!!
“When (hopefully when) I feel better/safe enough to talk more about this terrifying traumatic experience you will start to understand, but currently I’m too detached”
Oh and quite a lot of you have asked for more details on what actually happened to me. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to do this right now for 2 reasons:
1. I have a lot of pregnant friends and I don’t want to scare anyone - I would hate to hear my story whilst pregnant.
2. Apparently I don't know the full extent of what happened to me second time round and I'm not mentally strong enough to go in for my debrief yet. I have however been told by one of my mental health doctors that it's worse than what I think I know, and trust me what I do know is absolutely horrendous so let's just assume the worst and I think you're there.
Ryan has had to witness things no partner should ever have to.
Ryan has had to call ambulances [note - plural]
Ryan has been inside and outside of operating theatres for hours
Ryan slept on the hard floor of the hospital for a week
Ryan snuck off to the chapel to pray (and that’s before things got bad)
Ryan brought the baby to the hospital to visit Louise everyday when she was an inpatient so they could bond (but she says she was too out of it/hyper vigilant to be able to).
These are details Louise has given about her recovery since leaving hospital. This is listed in chronological order of her posts, split by date, which shows how she's drip fed her information (most likely for engagement).
Has come a long way - before she used to worry about savage infections and bloodtest results. Now worries about fatigue and memory loss.
Panic episode can last hours or days and totally unpredictable
During a panic episode, can’t function, can’t look after herself, let alone anyone else. Can’t spell her name. Can’t see, can’t hear. Can’t look anyone in the eye. Convinced she is going crazy.
Feel depersonalisation, hyper paranoia, feel stuck in another realm. Not herself.
If mind can’t find a physical problem it will attach itself to a mental one.
Thought head was actually going to explode open because internal dialogue was so wild and overwrought. Looked in mirror and eyes were bloodshot.
subconscious thinks she’s dying all the time
will be triggered by anything.
Looked in the mirror and noticed the underside of her tongue was blue and she thought she was dying.
Not just a hypochondriac- physical symptoms pain, dizziness, fainting, temperatures, blood pressure issues, nausea, diarrhoea, adrenaline, sweating.
Her sickness has subsided and she's finally regained a bit of an appetite so can try and maintain her weight.
She got 8 hours of sleep last night and even had some dreams (exceptionally weird ones as Ptsd can drudge up strange things from the past)
60,000 thoughts passing through my head each day. If I can try and get 30,001 of them to be non anxious thoughts then I am sort of winning. Honestly I’ve never known anxiety like it. It feels inexplicable.
”This week I managed to talk myself out of the ‘I’m going to die’ mentality a few times without medical help…I also tell myself that I can review my physical symptoms in 24 hours which is a good habit to practise because by the time the 24 hour period is up I’ll have survived.”
I’ve stopped googling when I feel triggered (willpower 101)
I’ve stopped measuring my temperature and blood pressure and heart rate and anything else that I can track
More 'regular' PTSD symptoms like nasty flashbacks, a doddle compared to brain hell fire experienced before
Still no periods even though haven't breastfed for 7 months. Have been sent for an ultrasound scan at the end of the month.
Fertility is not an issue I've had the capacity to think about. More worried about hormones and rarer complications.
Blood tests still abnormal
Still bleeding lots from butt
Sweating buckets
First time for everything
A list of every occasion Louise has said is the first time she has done something since Leo was born to capture inconsistencies.
The 'proper outing' is pictured in a cafe and a walk along a street tagged in Chelsea. Not a day trip to the zoo. So what makes that different to going out for food in January? Or is the intention to make people think it's taken her until March to feel well enough to go out, and why would she want people to think that except for attention and/or insta-engagement?
Again there seems to have been some contradictions over the months so this is a collection of what medications she has said she’s been on/off.
Posted on instagram 7 January 2022:
Weaned off all medications. Not even on sleeping pills anymore because she’s worried about psychogenic effects. Wants to be clean.
Posted on instagram on 6 June 2022: Been on new medication escitalopram for 4 weeks and having unpleasant side effects but a vast improvement on the sertraline, which made her feel agitated, wanted to drill a hole in both ears to release pressure on the brain. Couldn't concentrate on anything other than sheer discomfort. hankfully (or I wouldnt be alive) it would come in waves and I would have moments of clarity.
Weaned herself off antipsychotics and starting to have more 'old louise' thoughts
Carrots & Cupboards
Some of the unusual things Louise has said she has feared since the birth of Leo.
Carrots
I couldn’t even say the word carrot to my dad who was going to the shops to buy groceries for me without having a mental breakdown
Fearful of getting up in the morning because if she starts the day with a panic episode then struggles to claw out and has a whole day of battling with herself.
Made in Chelsea star Louise Thompson has claimed she "nearly died" after enduring two aborted landings and a fuel emergency on a British Airways flight from Geneva amid Storm Ciara.
Thompson, who said she was travelling on the flight, has now described her "panic and shock" during the journey in an email sent to her subscribers with the subject line: "I nearly died".
The BA flight 2749, which was due to depart at 9:30am, had taken off almost three hours late from Geneva on Sunday.
It headed towards Gatwick where it flew in a holding pattern before making two unsuccessful attempts at landing.
The Airbus A320 started heading south again, where it declared an emergency in order to be prioritised for landing at Lyon's St-Exupery airport after running close to their fuel reserve - which allows for another half an hour of flying.
Louise’s description:
Thompson said the plane's shaking was "beyond anything I've experienced in my life". "The engine felt like it was seconds away from stalling. The wings of the plane were being rattled and shaken. This went on for about 60 seconds, but it felt like 60 minutes," she added.
By this point, Thompson said she was "shaking uncontrollably", "sweating" and did not now if she was "alive or dead".
"I was in such a state of panic and shock. My adrenaline was flowing through every part of my body," she said.
‘At this state I accepted death... honestly, I'm not sure how my body coped. I genuinely thought I was going to die. I tried to text my family, and I decided to accept my fate. My body was crushed under this intense feeling of pressure, pain, torture, adrenaline.'
She said three fire engines greeted them at Lyon airport and it was only after they landed that she realised the flight had called "a Mayday 7700 emergency" - meaning it had less than 30 minutes of fuel left.
"I was so relieved to land," Thompson said. "If I had known in the air the pilot had called a Mayday I would have fainted for sure."
Thompson said she wants to thank the BA staff and the pilot for diverting the flight to a safe landing place. She said: "I don't even care if I have to get back later, I'm genuinely happy to be alive!"
British Airways spokesperson:
'Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and the extreme winds of Storm Ciara meant that our highly trained pilot assessed it as unsafe to land at Gatwick, so diverted to Lyon until the weather improved.
'We provided customers with hotel accommodation and meal vouchers to keep them comfortable until their flight departed the following morning.'
Video from Louise’s stories describing the crash, where she says she DEFINITELY blacked out and fainted:
In October 2021, Louise and Ryan were staying at her mum's house when their own house was undergoing extensive refurbishment and during the night a wine cooler exploded, causing a fire. (Daily Mail Article) Fortunately they were all ok, including the dogs who had got lost in the smoke but were rescued by Ryan.
In July 2022, in the caption of a grid post, Louise said she ‘survived a house fire’. No pictures of the fire damage have ever been seen.
A few days later, Louise posted again, this time claiming they had moved in and out of 4 different hotel/hostels over the past week, and basically lived out of the car. They had to be without the dogs for 5 days because they couldn't look after them from the car so Scott, Sam and Zara helped out. Sam and Zara were also refurbing their house so it's not known where they were staying or why Louise and Ryan couldn't stay too. It's also not clear why Louise and Ryan had to live out of a car/hostel for a week when they can afford hotels and didn't have the dogs with them? The consensus seems to be that they probably had their belongings in the car, but have made it sound like they were sleeping in the car. It seems intentional to make themselves sound homeless due to a devastating fire when it was far from the truth.
Birth (twice - maybe once for real)
Louise has repeatedly said she nearly died twice during/following the birth of Leo.
She also once said, in March 2022, that she died and ‘miraculously came back to life’, however she has only been known to say this once.
Louise uses a fake Instagram account and uses it to comment on her and Ryan’s ads, presumably to increase engagement.
Tattle sleuths uncovered this when Louise’s accidentally replied to comments on her post using the fake account and not her own. Later the same day, she became aware of this, deleted the comments and reposted using her real account, confirming this was definitely her. Photos to follow.
Tattle sleuths then went back through their Instagram grid posts and uncovered the kind of comments being made and on what ads. Timeline below. Photos to follow.

’Steve’ the Accountant
Quickbooks Ad (November 2022)
In a now deleted post, Ryan collaborated with Quickbooks for international accounting day and pictured himself presenting his ‘accountant’ with thank you gifts and taking him for lunch. His accountant ‘Steve’ looked like an older version of business partner, Turtle Method CEO, Scott Flear.
Whilst Ryan never addressed it, we are pretty certain Ryan used a face app to age Scott and pretend it was his accountant. Following complaints to Quickbooks, both QB and Ryan swiftly deleted their stories and posts.
Fortunately tattle kept the receipts!
Discussed on tattle HERE - it’s a wild ride so get a cuppa and enjoy! One of the funniest threads!
In May 2023 Ryan posted on his IG grid that in the week leading up to Louise’s due date (Nov 2021) he drew up a series of cartoon characters (animals, such as squirrel, sheep, fox). He wasn’t sure what the storyline was but it felt awesome doing it and one of his dream jobs would be to be a Disney illustrator.
But then clever tattler Hannac546 decided to reverse search one of his drawings and discovered that his creative drawings were infact from ‘how to draw’ videos on YouTube. And not only that, we then discovered they were specifically ‘very easy’ ones.
Unfortunately the fun all came to an abrupt end because the next day Louise probably wasn’t getting enough attention and had a book to sell so made her announcement to the globe that 3 months previously she had stoma surgery and Ryan disappeared for days.
And in true Ryan style the only thing he has delivered is more empty promises. Weeks later there is still no highland cow. Determined tattlers continue to ask WHERE’S THE HIGHLAND COW RYAN? on a daily basis and we still live in hope our calls will be answered.
Controversies
Ryan vs Bike Thief
October 2022
Ryan posted on his stories that his £12,000 bike had been stolen.
He calls the thief “a little bitch”, a “selfish shitty human” and then goes on to say “there would be no limits to the pain I would inflict”
We start chatting about it on the tattle threads HERE
Ryan vs Boots
March 2022
As reported in OK Magazine Online, in March 2022 Ryan slammed the staff in Boots on his stories because they wouldn’t give him teething products for Leo when he was four months old. It is clear from his video it was a female employee he spoke so aggressively about.
Ryan said: "I actually didn't say anything too rude, I had to bite my tongue, but I did want to reach across the counter and say, 'Listen... I can't even say it... but f**k you Boots.'"
Video from the OK article is here but they cut off ‘fuck you Boots’ at the end
Forward facing 7 week old Leo in a Baby Bjorn carrier. Baby Bjorn say they need to be a minimum of 5 months to face forwards as the neck muscles are not strong enough. (LT grid post 04/01/22)
Ryan shared a photo with Leo in his cot at four months old, with bumpers, pillows, soft toys, loose blankets. This goes against all safe sleep advice for babies. Shortly after Ryan posted again to say Leo doesn’t sleep in there, it’s just for playtime (which is still irresponsible to share to such a huge following). However a few weeks later Ryan posted a story of him in his home gym with the baby monitor which showed Leo asleep in the same cot with all the unsafe items. And both Ryan and Louise have posted images of Leo in the unsafe cot ever since so it seems like a blatant lie about Leo not sleeping in there.
Louise - Fox Fur
Louise has worn Fox London (real Fox Fur) coats a number of times.
Remembrance Sunday - Louise received a lot of backlash for sharing three photos of herself in the Maldives with her beach bag alongside a remembrance day poem. She later went back and edited her post to remove the poem.
Despite having a considerable list of trauma symptoms, physical and mental, and a young baby who she has openly said she has struggled to love and bond with, these are the hobbies/activities Louise has still been able to do with her time, many of which she was doing pre-baby so we are wondering why nothing’s changed?
Daily face full of make up
Flower arranging
Getting dressed up and posing for photos
Reading books
Gardening
Gym
Ads and affiliate links (and general regular Instagram use, even when ‘bored’ in hospital)
Holidays (six before Leo was 8 months. See ‘holidays’ section).
Journalling - “Because every day I write down some positives (yes I’ve been journaling like mad)”
Monetisation
Camilla King Millinery - blue bow
The first brand collaboration seemed to appear just 5 days after Louise announced Leo’s birth and how unwell she had been. Leo was around 6 weeks old.
On 28th December Louise shared three photos with her back to the camera, with Leo looking over her shoulder.
On the face of it the first picture is very sweet, photos of a new mum kissing her baby, however the next two photos were very odd as they directly showing the back of Louise’s head with her not even facing Leo. She was wearing a large blue bow in her hair, personalised with Leo’s initials LH. No brands are tagged, or hashtags for ads or gifted, however on the same day, Camilla King Millinery shared two of the photos on their own Instagram business page with details of the product that Louise was wearing in her hair.
So many questions! How do they even know it’s one of theirs without discussing with Louise, or have they just made it public without permission that Louise has made a purchase from them in a private capacity? Are we to believe this business used photos of Louise’s baby without permission, and if so, Louise has not had them removed? Are we to believe Louise gave them permission to use these photos for free - no payment and no gifted bow? It’s very suspicious and Louise has been known to not declare ads before.
The Instagram post also went on to appear on the MailOnline website where the brand and product name was stated.
Trtle Octagon Challenge
The grid post on 29 January 2022 was an own-brand ad. The main issue here is that Louise has used an image of Leo on her grid to make it appear like a normal photo of mum with her baby. But when you click on it you don’t see the photo, it goes straight to a video ad from someone on her team. So she’s used a photo of her baby to fish for clicks.
She’s also referred to her trauma extensively in the caption which must have been written by her. The alternative someone else wrote something very personal for her, but either way are we to believe that amongst all this trauma and severe physical and mental symptoms, the ONLY thing she can make sense of and spend 5 hours doing, is an Instagram post for her Trtle business?
“When (hopefully when) I feel better/safe enough to talk more about this terrifying traumatic experience you will start to understand, but currently I’m too detached”
“I am mustering all my brain power (have take 5 hours so far) to post a video about our trtle octagon challenge… and I really don’t want you guys to miss out on this because of my dreadfully sad circumstances.
Despite the fact I’m currently struggling to make sense of the world around me I can still make sense of one thing…that last year this challenge changed a lot of lives”
“Despite the fact that my future feels VERY uncertain right now, yours hopefully doesn’t need to be. You have the choice to make some positive change and I promise you that this will be the best decision you make this year”
March - The Pig Hotel, Kent - Leo free trip for Mothers Day (!)
Ryan posted about this trip but it seems it wasn't very memorable for Louise as she has posted THIS story on 7 Aug 22, saying the only nights they have EVER stayed away from Leo have been ones spent in hospital.
One day I will live here. My luck will change (1 September 2022)
Posted to her stories and deleted a few hours later. Incredibly tone deaf when she lives in a multi million pound house that was FREE to her (paid by parents) and many of the contents and refurbishments have been gifted. Also during a significant cost of living crisis where millions of homes will likely have to choose between food and heating this winter.
