As you say, initially. The intrigue withered.* Within the week Collard was just another islander. Had he not coupled with Paige he'd have been gone soon after. He'll be best remember for getting rid of Jacques but anyone could've got rid of Jacques. I reckon he was looking for a reason to go. His head was gone.

*This was the pattern for the series. The viewing figures tailed off badly. By the penultimate week they were struggling to break 4m.
