It's based on the book, which I guess the film was based on as well. So not a spin off

I finished e1 but not sure I will watch another. Very graphic and so far not great story telling. But then maybe e1 is setting the scene and tbf I weren't a fan of the film

Karen Pirie Ep3 LOVED it

I thought the whole three episodes were fantastic and one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time. Great acting. I hope they do another series because the lead actress was fab

i did watch all of Karen pirie but it was a struggle because of the ads on itv player! I paused it a few times to come back to the next day, but then you have to watch all the ads again TWICE. I literally sat through about 12 minutes of ads before I was able to resume the episode. ITV player is honestly shocking, even all4 is not this bad

Haha it’s so bad! I like to eat dinner while watching a series, but I’d finish my dinner and the show hadn’t even started, the ads were still going! I counted 8 ad breaks. That’s 30-40 mins of ads! There’s only so many things I can get up to do 8 times. I can’t make a cup of tea 8 times in an hour, I’d never sleep
