I guess the older episodes are pretty old but it just felt too dated to start from scratch today and going from Kin straight into that was just too jarring. Kin was pretty slick whereas Love/Hate had that rough camera work that gives me motion sickness. It felt like a load of college kids had filmed an amateurish drama project TBH.

You HAVE to stick with it. I got the rec from this thread a few months ago and was feeling the same. The camera shots/angles felt like they were trying to be edgy but now looks so dated however it grows big fat giant legs and you are sooo invested in the story/characters . Kin is definitely its older slicker brother and I’ve actually stopped watching Kin while my H catches up but love/hate is one of the most raw series I’ve ever watched and funny too - in a sopranos type way. I’ve watched it twice in 2 months. It’s fantastic. Be still my beating heart for Darren those eyes. Thank god for the umbrella academy!
